Luxury! In the 70’s we had to wait until my Dad finished a 16-hour shift on the Post Office and warm ourselves on one of his farts.
@TaintlessRed
Surprised he hasn’t gone into management as his experience as a player and the managers he’s played under would make him an excellent prospect.
@implausibleblog
The Deputy Speaker there just having a nice day out and not really getting overly involved in ensuring Ministers do actually need to show respect to their counterparts, especially when asked direct questions that warrant answers.
@AkanKwaku
And yet so many believe that the likes of privately educated people are better than them. This shows that the attitude of some jobs being “low-skilled” is totally incorrect. Imagine not knowing how to use a hammer?
@BladeoftheS
Madeley loves to wade in all guns blazing without any real idea what he’s talking about. Love seeing him shown up repeatedly by more informed, intelligent and capable people.
@outreacher1
@whitbyrog
@jonathancoe
You had an imagination? Luxury! We were so cold that our brains were frozen inside our heads and only a regular clip round the ear warmed them up enough to enable us to move about.
@RorySmith
Plus you can suggest xenophobia, when absolutely no mention was made by Jürgen about any personal detail of the owners of those clubs, just their incredible financial assets.
@Vitt2TsNoC
An absolutely wonderful man who was utterly brilliant as a comedian. Delivery, timing and the range of topics he could rip into made him unique.
@outreacher1
@whitbyrog
@jonathancoe
Blinking? Luxury! My Mum came from a long line of cyclops so we had to have my Nan over so that between them they could manage a blink!
@danielgoyal
100% and Green are a party many of us are watching very closely especially as Starmer refuses to back a ceasefire in Gaza or do more than just joust with Sunak once a week at PMQ’s.
@MyshkinFool
When there were no aircraft and far less road traffic the air quality was better and skies were bluer. We had a far better weather picture then as well.
@13sarahmurphy
He’s another ERG stooge. No Tory wants to do anything that helps those who need support, as that would require a sense of duty and moral compass which none of them have.
@RussInCheshire
If only we had a legal expert, say in a capacity as leader of the opposition political party who could constructively refute the legality of this decision…
@ToryFibs
@SaulStaniforth
Jesus wept! Only the UK coukd stage this grotesque display while people are on the bones of their arse, rising food, rents, mortgages and energy bills all while the royals walk about wearing billions of pounds on their heads.
@danielgoyal
As ever, Johnson didn’t have an even subpar or coherent response to any of the questions. The precision with how Professor Thomas skewered him and wouldn’t let him waffle his way out was superb.
@HenryJackson87
Destroying Leicester on Boxing Day at the King Power. They were second and billed as our biggest threat, and we simply took them apart.
@HenryJackson87
Yet when we’ve won at both, they’ve been impressive victories. What we can’t have is a half-arsed approach like we saw last night. Have to be on it from the first minute to the last.
@JasonLFC1979
I think they leaked the story about a potential sale to deflect attention away from the January transfer window. People were so focussed on the sale, they were fantasising about all the players we could afford to buy once new owners came in.
@___Mezzala
Smug, spineless and inept. He set the (sub)standard for every Tory PM that’s followed him.
Didn’t have the stomach to solve the in-fighting within the Self-serveatives so he pushed the referendum on the British people then ran away when he lost the vote, condemning us all.
@mrjamesob
He’d have to answer questions that would clearly identify so many faults with his policies. We know that no Tory enjoys having to go on record by explaining things in real time.
@PippaCrerar
Yet Johnson saw no problem with ministers having second jobs, and there are some who have three or four, often incredibly lucrative for a few hours of ‘work’ a month.
@BladeoftheS
Can’t be be subpoenaed into giving evidence? His illness has come about at rather an (un)fortunate time given the enquiry was planned to be carried out.
@empireofthekop
@TheAthleticFC
What about when we were in the CL then? We won the competition and spent £7.5m that Summer. Hogan is talking absolute bollocks. Clubs that have never played in the CL comfortably outspend us virtually every transfer window.
@BestForBritain
@libdemdaisy
What did the Speaker say in response to this quite simply pathetic answer to a very serious question?
This should be a time when ministers are reminded of their responsibilities and not be allowed to play to the gallery because they have no valid answers.
@danielgoyal
You could substitute your incredible and dedication to work in the NHS for pretty much any job and none of them have the desire or ability to do it. They go into politics because it’s a gravy train of a very good salary, expenses and privilege.
@Bbmorg
Caroline Lucas. Sha’s never been afraid to speak out on any issue and as we know Brexit has already had such a negative effect on our ecology with rivers and coastlines polluted with human excrement.
@BestForBritain
So why is he still able to be protected from scrutiny and continue to use public money to pay for legal support that seeks to uphold the findings of independent reviews into his poor conduct?
@JamesHorncastle
These are the true footballing heroes, we need to read more about players who have achieved more than just playing the game.
Forza Inter!
@Tactical_Times
115 charges against them and they’re still able to go about their business as if these didn’t even exist. That’s the biggest disappointment.
@AintreeIron
He was actually found to have done all this months ago mate. The City thing is a farce. No team should be able to simply carry on as if nothing has happened with that many charges against them.
@NotJimbowe
Klopp: I took my car to a Halfords Autocentre and they sorted out 4 new tyres faster than the guys at Kwikfit.
Media: Klopp shatters trust in Kwikfit with thousands likely to lose their jobs as a result.
@EsheruKwaku
It’s not even politics because Farage has no policies. What he does is stoke up anger and resentment and continues to push a narrative that the country is how it is because of immigration.
Actually going out/out tonight. A 50th party for a man who was like a brother to me before we fell out 15 years ago. It was my fault, but luckily time and the fact we’re now both older and possibly wiser, that’s all behind us. It’s going to be emotional, and I can’t wait.
@whysospurious
@reece_dinsdale
It shows that he isn’t speaking for the people and doesn’t want to recognise his time in power will soon be over. These are the behaviours of a dictator.
@Britain_People
Wasn’t trusted by the security services when he was Foreign Secretary as they felt he was a security risk. Why put the armies of NATO under any additional pressure by putting this thing in charge?
@baratheongirl
@mrjamesob
Remember when IDS said he could live on £53 a week then claimed almost £40 on a single breakfast?
If people needing help are ‘living it up’, let the MP’s who believe that, on £80k a year and expenses swap places with them for 3 months.
@Eyeswideopen69
Seen Marina being called a ‘leftie remoaner’ by the Express and having her IQ questioned by a presenter on GBNews today. They’re rattled.
@RealKevinPalmer
Trying to block due process of the investigation into their FFP breaches only heightens suspicion of guilt. As Keys says, if they’re innocent then it has to be proven. Paying lawyers to get off on any technicality, such as a time limit on evidence being admissible is desperate.
@JeremyVineOn5
How can you ask such truly pathetic questions when the evidence is all around you?
Johnson has trashed the UK. He has delivered nothing worthwhile and yet you and the BBC refuse to mention that.
@jimbeglin
This is how the game is now. Players looking to get fellow professionals sent off to gain an advantage by cheating.
The fact Gordon has this in his arsenal, and he’s better known for it than goals or performances should be an embarrassment to him and any club he plays for.
@CarolineLucas
He should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Take away the life payment of £115,000 a year that all PM’s receive, and make him pay his own legal expenses.
@BladeoftheS
Such a detestable and utterly corrupt individual. Just when you think it’s impossible to loathe someone even more than you do already, these findings come to light.
@HenryJackson87
They don’t even apply the actual ruling in the same game. TAA booked for throwing the ball away, Joelinton and the entire Newcastle bench asking for the red card for Virgil, nothing.
@edwinhayward
So nobody over 50 wouldn’t want to escape from here either? There must be thousands of not 10’s of thousands who’d love to live in the EU but thanks to Brexit, that’s so much more difficult.
@mrjamesob
Surprised Kwasi was struggling to work out how much he’d be earning…
There are several aspects here. MP’s can be bought it seems with very little effort, their greed is insatiable and they actually feel they deserve such high payments.
So out of touch with how real life is.
Had an incredible night at my friends 50th. It was everything I could’ve wished for. Seeing him, his sons and meeting his new fiancée made me feel like being back around family. Even though it’d been 15 years, we spoke like we’d never lost contact.
@AkanKwaku
I love Jeremy because he has and always will stand up for what and who he believes in. The establishment couldn’t buy him and the media despite their best efforts can’t silence him.
Every MP who refused to vote for a ceasefire deserve the utmost criticism and scorn.
@CarolineLucas
@MimiJ9
Peaked as an occasional host of Have I got News for You. Shouldn’t have been given any role in public office as he was unfit to do anything without making monumental and often financially costly mistakes.
Hopefully we never hear from him again.
@MarinaPurkiss
One of the worst aspects of ministerial failure is they just get to walk away without recriminations. Kwarteng is also getting a reported £17k severance pay too. Why? His actions caused shockwaves through the economy with a £65bn intervention needed by the Bank of England.
@David__Osland
He wants people to decide whether wind breaks need to be banned from British beaches, in case you’re wondering how balanced his arguments are.
