10) ADVICE FOR MEN: This car can ignite the sfebe in you. I don't know why that is so. Huns just seem to enjoy the company of this car. Problem is, food + alcohol (I don't drink) + motel is a huge chunk of money. The problem is not the car but human nature.

3) CAR INSURANCE : You can always jump from one insurance to another. Just make sure you that you understand the terms and conditions of the cover. And no matter what, never cancel the insurance. With a car, anything can happen at anytime.

1) FUEL CONSUMPTION: This Polo is 1.0 turbocharged engined, 70kw. You can check for further specs. My full tank is around R750 - R850 depending on fuel prices and location. Unless you love speed the fuel really last longer. I usually pour my fuel at Sasol, Shell and BP.

4) SPARES : The manufacturer has the spares but the price is bitting. So I prefer to get my spares from Goldwagen. They are reliable and endurable. I never had to deal with any problem coming from their parts.

7) If you can't afford to replace the worn out parts from your own pocket, maybe you don't afford the car. Also, buy a car you want and afford, you don't want to pay for something you don't like. Buying a car is one of those blessings you get to choose unless your family.

2) MAINTANCE: I bought it brand new. It came with 45000km service plan and 3 years warranty or 100 000km. You will need to extend this. Why? Because I almost paid R25k for sterring rank but warranty covered it. Maintenance you can always get or replace items by yourself.

6) INSTALLMENTS/LOAN REPAYMENT : It depends on how you negotiate with the bank. Two people can buy the same car and get different repayment options. You can calculate how much you could pay with a balloon and without. A brand new car is expensive.

5) SCRATCH AND DENTS : There are service providers which offers policies to fix scratches and dents. My problem is the diameter which they give you. When the car is new and the owner is a first time driver scratches and dents are inevitable. Especially on the bumpers.

18. TRACKING UNIT : As you know, these cars are wanted right - left and centre. But wait now, don't be scared. Roses comes with thorns. After getting it, make sure you get a tracking unit fitted into your polo. The tracking unit will also help you reduce your insurance premiums.
