I know rugby have changed a lot over the years but the quality of it I’m not sure. Watching the 2000 Bledisloe match between New Zealand and Australia in front of 100000 makes me believe rugby then was better. Great era to have played in and glad to have played in that era.

I’ve been in a lot of selection meetings in my career where some players weren’t picked because of seize. To those guys I just say look at Hamish Watson in the backrow and Redpath as a 12. Great Scottish win. Gregor Townsend, I liked you as a player and I admire you as a coach.

Baie trots op die Pumas vanaand en dink aan ons klomp wat die journey in 1996 begin het. Mis vanaand daai pelle en die great tye wat ons op en van die veld gehad het. Was dit nie vir die Pumas nie was Ek nie n Springbok nie. Well done to all involved as well as coaching staff

Don’t know if I can take the heat anymore. Was used to playing sport in 35+ degrees. Today is the hottest day in 20 years we’ve been here 27 degrees and I am looking for shadow all day. I’ll take something cool and put on a fire for atmosphere before the Braai #suninireland

I know Leinster have players by the dozen but I really like the Harry Byrne, Ciaran Frawley combination. Play flat, attack the line and both can distribute with good kicking games. They want to play and attack
