1/ This is why I love working in the blockchain space, really interesting open problems, derived from real-world projects (as opposed to pure academia isolated from industry). Giving a talk on "Bridging the gaps between forward-secure signatures and proof-of-stake protocols" at

Ready to gain some intuition on one of Fermat's key contributions that, beyond just zk proofs, actually enabled our entire digital universe and the internet? Here's the crux of what powers the internet: Our ability to securely interact online -> made possible by TLS -> which

This wasn't a random tweet. Fermat has completely consumed our thinking and we can't wait to share some good news in about a month!

What fun! Watch me dive into how priorities shift as projects evolve during this debate—what starts as a rush to market soon becomes a race for superior performance. Btw, @fermah_xyz is not building custom circuits. We are a universal ZK marketplace. We even generate proofs for

DEBATE: ZKVMs or ZK Circuits? 🌶 ZKVMs have made it easy for projects to integrate ZK by offering reduced time-to-market and lower engineering costs. But as applications mature, there’s a growing question: do you stick with the flexibility of ZKVMs, or do you shift toward

What I realized coming in to the project is that our goals are high and worth it and that we are very well-positioned to forge a successful technology strategy, thanks to some really well thought-out structure for the skeleton.

After my 3-minute lightning talk on open research questions in the ZK space, three researchers reached out to collaborate. This level of engagement hasn’t happened even after talks I’ve given at major cryptography conferences like CRYPTO and TCC. Loving SBC! I believe this

Hey friends! I'll be at SBC from today until the 10th. If you're around, come say hi! I've been working in stealth mode for about a year and am finally getting to the point where I can share more about my project publicly. If you're interested, you can catch me speaking at: -

Hi, we are looking for someone to come in part-time and help with operations. An ideal person is someone who is already helping with ops at another blockchain company and would be interested in a few hours a week arrangement with an amazing startup. If you are that person or know

I have a few questions: 1. to work with Lasso, what's a good frontend? 2. Has anyone emulated field arithmetic of BLS or BN in Pallas or Vesta? 3. Other than plonky, has anyone proven a complete verifier in circuit? (not just the non-decider part; proving systems in question are

Here is a definition of a blockchain. It was too detailed for what I needed, so I didn't use it and I haven't thoroughly proofread it. But can be a good starting point if you're writing one. There are a few definitions that exist, but I found them not generic enough for my case.

Zk proving + retaking is a new AVS category that shakes up perceived limitations of AVS’ applicability. This challenges the idea that crypto and cryptoeconomics clash, and that's cool. Let's remember, they're just tools, not final stops. When they blend for top-notch products

@shan3v You still may want to decentralize the proving system i.e. have multiple people generating ZK proofs. You'd then need to bootstrap that and incentivize people to help act as a prover, typically launching a token, creating rewards process, etc. Or, you could build it as an AVS.

Decentralization is necessary not just for censorship resistance but also something very important for the fair economics of the world. To see why, imagine a centralized system -- it can charge whatever gross margin it pleases at for different kinds of demands, while censoring

It feels good to trace back the current popular techniques of proof systems to the hardness problems we cryptographers believed in decades ago. Discrete log! The way it allows for us to compute polynomials in the exponent, the way that (together with some other components)..

I have a ZKVM design question. Have we ever considered alternative routes that don’t directly involve QAPs? For example, you transform a program into a Hamiltonian cycle problem and use efficient snarks for Hamiltonian cycles? It's a quick thought, I might have missed

I love the feeling and clarity when I write just the way I think. Too much editing kills the sentiment.
