@x3r0gxx It's because Palestine activism fits with their preferred life aesthetic (protests are urban, active, social, and visible). COVID mitigation goes against all of those. Same reason so much leftist activism ends at protesting.

This is EXTREMELY misleading. What he said was that he supports humanitarian pauses and "working towards" a ceasefire. That is NOT calling for a ceasefire, that's holding us off with appeasing language while continuing to genocide.

And I think the reason for that is because so much tech success around 2010 was because we were in a greenfield phase for apps and the Internet in general. That was the era when you could move fast and break things because there were no expectations.

I actually think this is literally the problem. On some level they (or the people they're performing for) *cannot* tell the difference between good and bad, i.e. cannot figure out how to correctly interpret social principles, and that's exactly why we keep being in this mess.
