I hate to be THAT Muslim but please don’t schedule meetings starting at 4:00pm that end at 6:45pm when I’ve mentioned I hope we can end before 6:30pm to give me enough time to pray. I prefer not to miss my prayers and not have anxiety before buka. 😩

My grandparents passed away 25 days apart. My grandma passed after completely forgetting my grandfather even when she saw his body at the funeral. My grandma died from a heart attack - she never had a heart issue. I believe she died from a broken heart. 💕

@imokman @AmirudinShari When it comes to rescued, coordination is important because you have such limited time to rescue, and help. Emotions also run high. But leaders are tasked to stay calm and assure coordination and organisation is done at the highest level. It’s their job.

@maxwalden_ SEA and I hate begpackers. Strong feelings abt it, no doubt. It’s a manifestation of privilege. Just cause your skintone’s lighter and you have blue eyes, you get away with it. Lots of shade thrown at potential begpackers disrespecting immigration laws over at KL Expats group.

@bytebot The article and reference to “crusades” was all wrong. We all love the past, but it was easy to love when you’re in ISKL. Malaysian never stopped being Malaysia. You want 70s? A nostalgia trip? Masuk kampung. KL stopped being nostalgic, but doesn’t mean people don’t preserve.

@afifster I know a lot of people that save a lot of money. The exchange rate can be painful to people, so I don’t judge. Plus not everyone is open/comfortable with everything available/know where to source food.

And I’ve seen how hard these people work to preserve and pass it on. Those working part time to make Batik more accessible by wearing it different ways. Because batik is part of our culture. Or those organising events to encourage women to wear kain batik.. the list goes on..

With @Khairykj as the new Health Minister, I'm hoping consideration is given to mental health. Bukan shj create awareness, but providing infrastructure, making help available & providing infra. Masalah COVID-19 ni bukan shj masalah kesihatan fizikal, tapi juga kesihatan mental.

Is anyone interested in adopting a cat? Buddy is a beautiful, half Oyen 4 year old cat with a grumpy voice but he’s lovely. He is neutered! He used to live with my grandparents but my grandparents have since died and the new home owners aren’t keen on adopting him.

It’s nice to gain a different perspective rather than jump to conclusions on why some people don’t find #DudukRumah an easy thing. FYI, Majlis Agama Islam Kelantan and the State Govt have begun their initiatives in channeling funds. 5mil has been reserved for Covid-19, too.

@aidilarazak Were they Tg Rozlan & Tg Salwani? They’re my grandaunts and often can be embarrassed by their lack of “KL-ness”. Or rather, maybe all Kelantanese understand being detached from “KL”.
