"Privately issued"? Even the IMF doesn't seem to know the first thing about Bitcoin. Bitcoin is public - more public than an individual, more public than a company, more public than a government, than a national currency, more public than anything you have probably encountered.

This is what @hodlonaut 's lawyer was trying to get across - unfortunately too technical for a courtroom setting. Highlighted is a documented lie, still present today on Wright's blog. There is no way to pretend it isn't a lie, nor a way to claim it wasn't intentional.

In 1944, 44 nations agreed to use the US dollar for international trade, with the US dollar being backed by Gold. In 1971, the USA 'temporarily' removed the Gold backing from the dollar. It was never reinstated. Fiat currency is not normal, it's only a 50 year old experiment.

So the code implementation is slightly different to the whitepaper. Or more likely, the paper was a simplified explanation just to get the idea across - since the code was probably done first. #BitcoinWhitePaperDay

The order of transactions inside a block matters in ETH, it doesn't matter in BTC. That's the fundamental problem that causes all the MEV issues... I guess if you wanted to go one step deeper it's because ETH uses accounts instead of UTXOs. Satoshi got a lot of stuff right.

@bookishkirsty @Openly There kind of already is: the "men's" category is actually the "unrestricted" category. Bitcoin doesn't replace banking. Bitcoin banks will also need office buildings, computers, air conditioning for employees, data centres and water coolers. Bitcoin competes with the underlying money: the dollar, the euro and the system of central banking designed to debase it.
