Crash bars should absorb damage and minimise what's passes to the motorcycle in a crash. Strong & heavy cages may be harmful. @shumar thinks this might be the reason why you're seeing the #RoyalEnfieldHimalayan frame break stories. There're some horrific crash bars out there!
