When I joined my school, 1 student came to netball club. I promised her that she would compete with a team.. covid hit & it became even harder to run clubs.. Tonight I had 20 students play their first matches with 2 KS4 leaders assisting!!! Proud doesn’t begin to cover it 🥲❤️

When you have pupils that play for @RoundersEngland and still beg to play it in lessons and for the school teams; it shows how fantastic the sport is and how loved it is by children. ⚾️❤️ The absence of it in the new PE spec is my biggest grievance! #ukPEchat #pegeeks

I can’t stand when you take a team to play against other schools and their teachers/umpires are SO biased and unfair, made even worse when your team would be absolutely smashed regardless of decision making. Where’s the sportsmanship and example setting???

Realised a first aid hack today today whilst waiting for an ambulance to arrive.. used my Apple watch to monitor their HR until paramedics took over and helpful when speaking to the call handler! Thought it was worth a share for anyone else in need in the future⌚️🚑

I’ve seen lots of tweets about primary schools removing PE off their curriculum for SATS prep.. absolute nonsense 😪 Not only does physical activity teach so much but it has countless other benefits. This should be encouraged MORE during exam periods 🙌🏼🤸🏼‍♀️

At the end of the sumer, Y7 were asked to write a letter of thanks to a teacher of their choice.. we received them at the end of Christmas as a gift.. nothing nicer than knowing you’ve had a good impact on a child no matter how big or small! I LOVE MY JOB SO MUCH 🤸🏼‍♀️😭❤️

according to Julie Hartley-“spewer” we’re “lazy sods” who just want another “holiday” lazy sods working in settings that according to PHE account for 35% of cases, with a lack of PPE and working amongst large numbers of people a day.. lockdown should mean lockdown!

This morning we have spoken about Italy’s water systems regenerating and China’s air quality improving, how we can find positives everywhere if we look we have laughed and talked, joked and sang.. our children are resilient and I’m so proud of them already 💛🌟

I absolutely love ‘THAT’ feeling when you take a pupil who is usually “too cool for school” on a fixture (didn’t think they would actually come) and they smash it!!!! 🥳 A nice little win which makes a long day all worth it 🙌🏼💪🏼
