We share with birds the structural melodic, with primates, the pragmatic, and the genes of both; but we do not have a bird-primate ancestor. We have common ancestor 300 MA years ago with songbirds (Tramacere, Pievani and Ferrari, 2017). Language does not arise by pure evolution.
