aside from drugs how do you guys maintain / boost your energy levels? i want to be working harder and getting more done but i have maybe 3 good hours of energy a day and then the rest i’m just completely burnt out
I should clarify that this isn't my first month doing MEV. Just my first month where it's my sole source of income. I've been at this since July of last year, and didn't make a penny until September. It took hundreds of hours of work to get here
if you can’t sift through the shit the flash bots discord is the best place to learn MEV / arbitrage trading. my second tip is to assume anything they say in there is a lie and always test the opposite advice you’re given
i thought going full-time searcher would mean writing lots of cool strategies and crypto related code but instead i've become a full-time devops engineer somehow
expectation: i’ll do arbitrage trading to give myself the freedom to study defi and work on new protocols
reality: constantly living in fear of my profits going to zero so i can’t think about anything else
on one hand i totally understand not wanting to challenge a government but on the other i really don’t see the point of blockchains if this is how fast we bend the knee
A lot of you guys found me from my tweet in January sharing my MEV profits. I wanted to share the opposite side of the coin this month.
Without sharing specific numbers June was the first month that I wasn’t profitable. In fact less than $10k in revenue.
MEVs hard
On one hand I think it’s funny that Stripe chose Polygon for payment integrations but on the other hand, I can’t think of a chain that makes better sense. Maybe Solana? But no EVM chains make sense to me honestly..
math is something i struggled with a bit in school so ive been trying to spend some time relearning it lately. ive been using textbooks, but does anybody have any other recommendations for learning? primarily interested in statistics and calculus
honestly while i’m happy with these numbers i didn’t get as much done this month as i had hoped. hoping to add some new features and strategies in february!
@functi0nZer0
Hi Ser, I saw you do MEV will you mentor me? I have no coding experience, in fact i’ve never used a computer. I’m sending this through my brothers nintendo ds. Let’s build!!!
Also my entire family will be murdered by the cartel if you don’t give me this opportunity.
First Desk: Improved my dev skills 100x, wrote ultra profitable MEV bot, making life changing money
Second Desk: All the code I write is shit, no longer profitable trader
the facts are undeniable people
Since I started using a pot with strategically placed paper towels (to stop the laptop from wiggling) to lift the screen a couple inches,
@QuasarFi
s TVL has 4x in the past month.
You may not like this, but this is what peak performance looks like
People who primarily use Cosmos chains: do you use them because you think Cosmos is going to win? Or because it's what you're used to?
What is the bull case for Cosmos? No ideological stuff, what is going to drive users from other ecosystems to Cosmos?
this is what my daily routine is looking like lately. i rarely stick to it if i'm being honest, but i at least try and write it out every day to attempt to keep me on track
If I’m being honest I think greed is going to make crypto just as bad as our current systems. I’m here on the off chance that I’m wrong about that though.
alpha leak: most users don’t care what curve your AMM uses, they don’t even really care about getting the best price (within reason)
they care about UX
my life path so far
- start college as a finance major because my rich girlfriends dad at the time worked in finance
- switch majors to marketing because money is fake
- graduate and get a dev job (??)
- quit job to dedicate my life to actual fake money
personally my goal is to use mev to build up enough money to be able to pursue interests and projects without needing to factor in a financial incentive for myself
almost every MEV enthusiast builds an entire trading system to extract value for 3-6 months, then their alpha runs out, then they quit and build a project instead
it's wild how you can write some code, everything works great, and then you hand it off to someone else and none of it works at all and you just look stupid
went from my “work 24/7 no rest burnout city” arc to “work a reasonable amount and relax too” arc and suddenly i’m broke and struggling. interesting very interesting 🤨
Excited to announce that Ethena has onboarded BTC as a backing asset to USDe
This is a crucial unlock which will enable USDe to scale significantly from the current $2bn supply
people my age who are bad at technology freak me out. how do you live through myspace, runescape, world of warcraft, limewire, etc. and not know how to use a computer
@rikardhjort
a lot of dapps i’ve used it just seems like whoever worked on the front end doesn’t even actually know what they’re doing so id start with hiring people who know web development
a big thing behind the fear is before this i was dirt broke. my bank account was negative for years because of some bad choices. i’m finally free and i’d hate to lose it
I joined the Skip team last month and my first contribution was a nice shiny new website.
Looking forward to building MEV solutions for the Cosmos ecosystem with them 🫡
