I'm so happy I'm about to cry & I mean that literally. I just made an incredible purchase. Very personal. I left the hobby in roughly 1993. Life happened. Before when I was involved my collection was absolutely massive, so large my dad & I used to sell at shows in Chicago. /1

Advice for people new to the hobby. Hey, don't worry about all the huge cards you see posted. I know it can make it feel like your collection is crap but rest assured it's not. Don't let yourself get trapped into that mentality. Collect whatever you like, that's what matters.

Hi hobby fam, it pains me to announce this but we've lost a wonderful member of our family.... Chris @CCC_collects has passed away from cancer at the age of 43. @BrickElite called me & told me in the way to his funeral. He leaves behind 2 very young kids ages 9 & 11, & his wife.

Well I woke up to a very nice surprise this morning 😁 This is Dale, he's the gardener here at the nursing home & he played for the Milwaukee Brewers in the very early 1970s. He was a pitcher but spent most his time in the minors playing ball in Montana for their farm team.

$125,000 for a card of some prospect who has never hit a single ball in MLB is absolutely crazy. My mind is absolutely blown away by this. The kinds of cards, iconic cards at that, hobby cornerstones & pillars, is nuts. That's a lot of cash to toss at something. Wow.

Hi everybody this is chuck, John's dad. He asked that I let everyone know that she's currently hospitalized with sepsis. I took him to the hospital late last night when sepsis started suddenly and he had uncontrollable shakes and chills. Currently he's in ICU.

Had to do the right thing. It's always good to get great deals. It's not ok to rob a fellow collector because they're unaware of the value of a '63 Jello Mickey Mantle. It wouldn't be right paying $8 for it so had to tell him. It's important we watch out for others in the hobby.

I'm seriously considering of getting rid of almost all my ultra modern cards & shifting to vintage with a focus on pre-war cards. Ultra modern is frantic where "the new shiny" is the big thing. For me as a collector, it's about the love of the game, it's history, & the players.
