Long probation terms are more harmful than helpful. Our system minimizes access to support while maximizing scrutiny & punishment. Meant to reduce recidivism, probation has become a pipeline for re-entry into prison. The Assembly will vote on #AB1950 , probation reform, today!

If I look confused and upset, it's because I am. People who have done their time are funding a system that is more invested in self perpetuation than in rehabilitation. Extended imprisonment because someone is indigent is inhumane.
