My daughter is fearless.
Today she turned 6 and her favorite thing to do is climb.
When she was 2 she broke her arm for the first time jumping from the bed.
At 4, she broke it the second time on the monkey bars.
When I asked her if she was scared she said, “Mom I’m

When I was a kid, I grew up in an extremely affluential neighborhood.
My mom moved us to Beverly Hills after the LA riots because being poor in a rich neighborhood was better than being poor in a poor neighborhood.

Sometimes you need to lift heavy things.
Earlier this year I had to deal with some difficult health news.
It took quitting a full time position, cancelling all my retainers and a step away from everything for 2 months while figuring out the right treatment plan and schedule
If you can’t take feedback well, no one will work with you.
Getting unsolicited advice sucks.

Someone asked me how I beat imposter syndrome.
I told them I don’t I just ask a different question.
If I am THAT good of a fraud that I can fool everyone…
How can I fool myself? 🧵
Let's talk about giving difficult feedback.
It needs to be:
1) Deconstructive: Identifies what's broken.
2) Reconstructive: Suggests how to make it better.
Feedback= Deconstructive + Reconstructive

Being resilient isn't a personality trait.
It's the result of multiple mini-wins, fails, and getting back up again on repeat.
These moments stacked over time build long-term resiliency.
Anyone can become resilient, keep going.
Real life marketing tip:
In order for you to win, someone has to lose.
Game is open to everyone but it won’t be fair.
If someone’s going to lose…
Make sure it’s someone that contradicts your values. Your mission. Your purpose.
Challenge them.
Make them enemy number 1.

I used to listen to everybody that I thought was more successful than me.

No guarantees it’s going to succeed or fail, but it’s fun to be part of a group where you get to try things and buzz with the same energy.
In my 20’s I early adopted bc I didn’t have a choice. No company would hire me bc I didn’t have a college

How NOT to ask for a raise (Your boss's POV).
1. Don't ask for a raise when the company isn't making money.
2. Don't ask for a raise when you finish a big project

When you're starting your own online business, you might think "Build it and they will come" is the way to go.
That works in a Kevin Costner movie, but not so much in real life.
