I didn't follow any big names or influencers when I started out, and I still don't. Because most of them don't reply or interact with me - so it is not worth my time to "watch their tweets". Many people also tell me the best interactions they have are with people new here.

I used to manage 12 investors, now I manage 0. I know why I prefer bootstrapping. When I had investors, I needed 2 storylines. 1 for customers, 1 for investors. I'm not a very smart person so that f'ed me up. Now, I just put all my energy into one storyline: help customers.
