We formed a human shield at the London Road crossing where drivers continue to ignore road signs & plough through pedestrians crossing on the green man. Most drivers stopped. Hatchback man was so ragin’ mad he decided to use his car as a weapon. Thanks all who put a shift in!

Been on a litterpick, walking up the Walk and this guy mounted the pavement driving right at us and stopped right outside the Co-op and wait for his passenger to shop. He was genuinely surprised that we were irked and doesn’t think his behaviour was dangerous or reckless at all!

Today I asked a business on the Walk notorious for blocking pavements/cycle paths if they’d given consideration to alternative delivery methods. The answer was no because 1) Logistics of deliveries not their responsibility (?) and 2) ‘we were here before the cycle path’. Sigh.

Home from work after 10 last night to be faced with an entire row of cars ALL parked on the pavement. Now the first van may be ‘chilled’ but the driver was not. Ooooft the abuse! Oh and wanted me arrested. Cos law? That pavement is so shattered it’s a hazard itself now.

. @OxfamScotland Thanks so much to your lovely Hawick shop staff who dropped her phone & picked up the first aid kit as soon as I stotted in the door. I’d just had a nasty fall & went to ask for directions & she cleaned me up & made sure I was OK. 🙌💚🌟

Aw look at the lovely City Centre West to East Link at Haymarket! And all its lovely shiny BOLLARDS! I’m sure that Leith Walk will get similar much needed safety measures installed soon. Right TEC committee?

Fantastic to see progress on the City Centre West to East Link at Haymarket. Most of the barriers have gone. See for yourself the result of work to make it safer and easier to walk, wheel + cycle in the area. On track to finish the full route early 2024.

@davieboy1963 I have never understood why the Royal family immediately don kilts and tartan as soon as they cross the Border, as though all Scots are constantly draped in the stuff. Kilt wearing outside the military, pipe bands and weddings is not the norm. This is simply excruciating.

On Saturday members dropped a banner on Victoria st, calling for homes not holiday lets! Old Town is one of the most densely populated areas of STLs in the UK (29 per 100 residencies). And with 278 renters per 100 rentals in Edinburgh right now city is is need of change.

Apparently these bollards can magically leap out and wreck car wheels, and in no way are the drivers colliding with those bollards responsible. A big bollard did it and ran away?

Thanks so much to the couple who intervened when I, 5ft woman, was chased down & bawled at by a 6ft 6 bloke who thought I’d taken photos of him & his mates having a BBQ in their garden to put on I ❤️ Leith. Hate to break it to you son but the world doesn’t revolve around you.

This is public space & these are public views. Ticketed events cannot put up barriers which are to the detriment of the city. I’ve asked officers to remove ASAP & for a guarantee that these won’t be erected for any future events.
