Tifa doing this has never been called a 'pick me' by Cleriths, but Aerith in EC, asking for Cloud’s opinion on her dress, immediately labeled a bitch & a pick me.' This. The whole situation breaks my heart. MOST Cleriths love Tifa, but MOST Clotis hate Aerith. How is this fair?

Cloud peaks at Aerith, before being grabbed by Tifa. Tifa breaks out of her shell a bit here because of Aerith. I think their rivalry is one that is about character growth as Tifa compares herself with Aerith and tries to better express herself. (Ref. Tifa date dialogue.)
