Through thick and thin,
@brianpfraser
has backed the Ottawa Senators. Now, during his second bout with leukaemia, the team is returning the favour. Full story from

Brady Tkachuk is cool and good, and if you think his supporting his brother indicates anything to the contrary that's more of a you problem than a Brady problem.
Sadly, we have to report that we are one of the sites that is being "de-monitized", i.e Vox Media will no longer be paying our staff. Like all our sister SB Nation sites going through this, this means immediate uncertainty about our future.
Brendan Gallagher's comments about Tim Stützle are quite similar to Jay Beagle's on-ice antics against Trevor Zegras earlier in the year. Couple of temper tantrums out of jealousy of talented young players.
In January, we received news that SB Nation was terminating virtually all of their NHL coverage. While the news was initially a major shock, the community rallied behind us and today we are launching the new, independent Silver Seven. You can find us at
There is an incredible community of readers that have supported our work for many years. Our hope is to continue maintaining the site in some form. When we know more about our future plans, we will share them with you.
Love,
Silver Seven
An underrated part of Joseph having a bounce-back season is he's SO PUMPED on the bench for everything. This teams needs Matty Jo as their hypeman and now he's got his confidence back.
We know the season is basically done and Ottawa is wildly unlikely to make the playoffs. But an NHL Head Coach healthy scratching their veteran goalie in favour of two rookies when they are still mathematically alive... Well that's something.
It's so much fun on here when the Sens win, even if they're not having a good season and we're in the middle of a goddamn pandemic. This place is going to be *wild* if this team is ever actually good again.
The Leafs privilege is just something else, what a joke!!
Let's gooo, what a great way to come back from the break Sens!!!
Credit to Korpi for a good game, he made the saves when it mattered the most
There is something beyond skill that is wrong with this team and it's very concerning. DJ Smith must have done some irreversible damage to the entirety of this group
Boy has Colin White looked good through the neutral zone these last few games. No other Sens centre is getting the same kind push forward, it's really encouraging stuff.
It's refreshing to have an owner that (1) doesn't release bad news on a Friday evening, (2) is honest with fans, and (3) seems to have similar feelings about things as fans.
To
@fearthefin
and all
@SanJoseSharks
fans: give it 5 games and you'll know why Sens fans were obsessed with Erik Karlsson. He does so many little things well. His hand-eye. His breakouts vs 2, 3 players. His infectious personality. You're gonna love him.
Taking the pulse in the comments on the site and here on the ol' Twitter, seems like fans will accept these kinds of losses. If the team's competitive, and the kids are getting a real chance, that's basically all that folks want to see. That's real progress.
As many of you likely know, our site’s relationship with Vox Media ends on March 31st. We’re launching a Go Fund Me to help take the site independent.
Read about the future of the site below, or donate to the Go Fund Me here:
Brian was one of the kindest, bravest people that we've ever come across. His loss will be felt deeply. All of our love from everyone in the Sens fan family.
So we wished Brian a Bon-voyage with a Sens win. Brian Fraser passed away tonight after a hard fought battle. We know he is at peace and looking for ways to watch down on us🙏🏻🙏🏻
The situation is shaping up perfectly for Erik Brännström to lead this misfit roster to a real Sens-ing over the Jets tonight and in the process become the short king legend we've all dreamed of
We at Silver Seven would like to extend a warm welcome to fans from around the league who will be tuning in to this only game of the night. Prepare to be entertained by some of the worst hockey you've ever seen.
As much as it hurts to see Rattray go elsewhere, I am really glad that we're seeing teams choose their players based on hockey reasons and not just marketing. Supporting women's hockey means taking it seriously as a sport. I'm still mad at Boston though.
I'm normally an advocate of 4F, 1D in almost every PP situation but if your 4F include Motte and Kastelic, then you're gonna be better off with a D like Brännström
Easily the biggest win of the season. Sens now sit just 5 points back of the Islanders with a game in hand for the final WC spot.
They somehow have a chance. A Christmas miracle!
Setting aside whether the Sens got a "good" return or not for Nick Paul, it's a real bummer to see a guy like that who came up through the system get traded like this. There's a reason he was a fan favourite by the end of his tenure here.
