I just calculated and realised that I've made $24,755 in the last 15 months because of CSS and Tailwind CSS!
- Through courses, Youtube tutorials, training, speaking and ebook - all CSS related... 🤯
Here are 7 hand-picked websites with huge number of **real-world** web design challenges to practice your front end skills - from beginner level to expert 👇
Have you ever built a website with HTML, CSS, jQuery, PHP, MySQL and uploaded it to server using FTP? And manually created databases on PhpMyAdmin?
No frameworks, no build tools, no pipelines.
I’ve done that for many years! It was sufficient and quick for simple websites.
Something really unbelievable happened…
A very generous person BOUGHT me A MACBOOK PRO as a reward for my work!! 😍😍
(I never use all caps. So you can only imagine my excitement level right now)
I don’t even know if I’m still dreaming
I did it!
Moved my course "HTML & CSS for beginners" from Udemy to Youtube for free 🔥
4.5 hours of simple step-by-step guide for building a website and going live
No complex jargon, no complex concepts! Helps you build a strong foundation :)
Have you ever struggled to find that one element on your web page that is causing a 1px horizontal scroll?
You can add this JavaScript code to console to find that element 🔥
This is from
@css
article. Link below 👇
💡CSS Background Opacity Trick:
There are different ways of adding a dark overlay to the background image without affecting the text on it. But this is the simplest trick ever 👇
If you need a 50% transparent black overlay, add a linear gradient using rgba in the same CSS rule.
I made approximately $4,000 in June alone by working less than 20 hours a week! 🔥
But I also want to let you know that I couldn't make this in the last 18 months put together! Your career will reach a tipping point one day.
Believe in yourself and keep going.
Great news!
I’m officially a LinkedIn Learning instructor 🥳🎉

Visited my school to meet my biggest inspiration in life - my first teacher.
She’s 90+ but still teaches English for 9th and 10th graders every day.
Connecting back to your roots is a humbling experience.
If you get a chance please keep visiting your school and first teachers.

Speak at an in-person Tech conference - Check! ✅
My course on LinkedIn Learning just crossed 10000 students. And it has a 4.7 rating! 🥹
This work is so fulfilling..
Working on the advance course for the next 2-3 months.
Finally! I'm officially a LinkedIn Learning Instructor now with my first course published today. 🥳🥳
I've worked really hard for many weeks to put together this course and to keep it very simple for people who want to get started with Laravel 9.
Today I learned that localStorage can store only Strings in most browsers 😲
So if you're trying to store a boolean value like `true`, it will store it as a String "true", and then when you retrieve the value and try to compare, you will run into issues!
Solution: JSON.parse()
👋16k lovely people!
A lot of you followed me in the last 24hrs
My little intro👇
I started my Tech journey 10 yrs ago. Worked at a startup for first 6 years learning loads of web dev stuff on my own. Two years ago started teaching through videos, courses and now eBooks.

In India most families still don’t encourage mothers who go for work.
Just when I got married, many people said - “Oh you’re working? Good. Anyway you’ll stop after you have a child”.
Badly wanted to prove them wrong!
And now I have a successful career being a stay-at-home mom
Here is one concept related to CSS Flexbox almost no tutorial covers:
Auto margins for flex items.
If you have four items in a row and want to push number of items to the end starting from any item, you can use auto margin for that item!
Did you know this?
Here's a tool I absolutely loved!
You can pick any illustration from here, customize the color, background and also add animations to it!
And they're totally free to download - you just need to give attribution.
There was a time when I was desperate to see my bank balance increase.
But these days, I get a notification that my account got credited with xxx amount and I wonder where it’s from?
Gumroad, YouTube, Amazon, Udemy course or client payment? 🧐
I love diversification! 🎉
Guess who's going to be speaking at the React Summit 2022 in Amsterdam! 🛫 Also conducting a full day workshop on Tailwind CSS.
It's one of my biggest dreams to be invited to give a Tech talk in-person.
Couldn't be more thankful to the universe. 🥺
I use responsive grids so often that I created a Tailwind CSS plugin for the same.
Now you need to use JUST ONE utility class to create a responsive grid layout. No need for the md: or lg: variants.
If you know "auto-fit" in Grid, that's what this uses. NPM package link below.
For almost 8 years, I thought web dev was my passion until I discovered “teaching web dev”
I love this much more!
You never know at what stage you’ll discover a new passion.

🎉 Level up with Tailwind CSS 🎉
eBook + video course will be released in July. But if you pre-order now, it’ll give me a big boost!
Hoping to help lots of devs with this book! Kindly RT for reach
If I had waited for “enough savings” to quit my job, I wouldn’t have quit.
If I had waited for my baby to grow up to get back to my career, I wouldn’t have.
If I had waited for the right time to write a book, I wouldn’t have made it.
There’s really no “perfect time”
When I touch 10K followers on Twitter, I’m planning to create an eBook on CSS flex and grid with real world examples and code snippets.
Gonna keep it super simple for beginners to master these concepts!
Will give away as many free copies as the number of retweets this one gets!
I’m having a dream career!
I can pick any tech concept I’m interested in, play around with it and learn it deeply.
Then simplify it through a tutorial, course, book or a tech talk.
Get paid for it.
Rinse and repeat
(This is not easy work, but I love it)
You know what was my strongest reason to start using Tailwind CSS?
I could never create a good looking box shadow 😅
Now, all I do is add a class “shadow-md” and not worry at all!
Now we can finally browse the files and folders in any GitHub repository just like we do in VS Code. Such a relief!
PS: Just press . on any GitHub repo and it opens in 'VS Code Web'
Anyone here available for web development freelance work?
I know someone who’s looking for freelancers good at Reactjs/NodeJs/Java/Python/Angular/PHP - any of these.
DM if this interests you.
RTs appreciated 🙏
What new tech are you planning to learn this year? ⁉️
Framework / Language / Tool
(Not a click bait tweet. I actually want to read all the answers and know where everyone’s headed)
I just spent 30 mins of my life figuring out why the simplest Vue app wasn’t working
I gave the ID name for div as ‘
#app
’ instead of just ‘app’ 😭
Conclusion: Years of experience and silly mistakes are not related to each other!
