As recently as 2017, there were only 123 active concealed-carry permits in DC. Today, there are 17,647 active concealed-carry permits, a D.C. police spokesman said in an email. Per @washingtonpost Those numbers are insane!

Just got my COVID (Pfizer) vaccine and my (first!) Shingles vaccine here at the 14th Street CVS in DC. The only time I ever saw shelves like this was right before Hurricane Sandy. @BarredinDC @crimedog_619 @FeverPotomac The security staff was so nice, too. What a dang shame.

I scanned my CDs and vinyl records into MP3s. All curated, sorted, cataloged and organized. Over 25% of the library has star ratings. I started in 1998 and while I enjoy new music and streaming, my collection is my baby. Apple Music makes that happen (albeit painfully).

@BarredinDC I moved away from Spotify back to Apple. Spotify is great at finding new music but it’s bad at finding that new music it showed to you just a month or two ago. It’s all about reinforcing whatever it is you’ve listened to very recently. At least with Apple I’ve got my old library.

@BarredinDC Bartender Ashely hovered around us to ensure we had full beverages. Then comped us with some custom shots she made. The lights were dim and intimate. They had up to 5 people behind the bar making sure everyone was well taken care of. 10/10 experience. Nothing better.
