This is, in a certain way, comforting -- it's a sign that AstraZeneca is proceeding according to Good Clinical Practices and not rushing things. I'd be more scared of a novel vaccine Phase 3 study that proceeded *without* any instance of clinical hold.

BREAKING: AstraZeneca's #Covid19 vaccine trials have been paused as the company investigates a serious adverse event the occurred in the UK. Not clear if the unexplained illness is linked to the vaccine, or what it was.

While we’re all reviewing the new HCQ data I’d like to re-up my suggestion that high school math curricula include mandatory statistics courses. (Make trig & calculus optional for the kids who know they want to do STEM.)
