Why are we so keen to scrutinise the behaviour of Call-me-Dave, but we don't seem to mind that Boris Johnson effectively used public money to pay for sex with Jenny Arcuri?

In 2020 we carried out a review that found EVERY initial Covid infection in our care homes could be traced back to a hospital admission. Matt Hancock should drop his bullshit and stop blaming everyone but himself. We were there, we know the truth.
We applied to have 300 care home residents and their carers to be tested 8 days ago. Still waiting for the kits to arrive.
How many have been tested? 0

Shameful that while we enjoy Christmas with our families, we think it's ok to invite people from overseas to look after our old folk, yet we expect them to leave their families behind. Do you think it's time to stop treating care workers like second class citizens?
I'm intrigued by the number of people showing great concern for the number of deaths in care homes, if only it were matched by an interest in those LIVING in care homes.
So grateful to the NHS for my successful treatment for early stage breast cancer. Thank you everyone for all the lovely flowers and best wishes. Glad to have it behind me!

Did you know social care is the sector with the highest number of employees working on Christmas Day? Thank you care and support workers everywhere 👏

The most incomprehensible thing about this pandemic is how we've stood by and accepted people dying alone without their friends and family around them. People will look back at this time and be appalled.
My uncle P. has moved into a care home. I phoned to arrange to see him on Saturday. They said 'no visiting at weekends'. I said I'm coming anyway. The Manager phoned me back and said they'd changed their policy to 7 days a week visiting. DON'T TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!
"Today I was a cleaner, a cook, a hand to hold, a friendly face, a washer, a dresser, a helper, a CARER, today I was human."
Care worker writes a wonderful blog on why all it's worth it.
What is the point of creating more capacity in the NHS, 7,000 more beds, without putting more money in to social care? 12,000 people currently stuck in hospital ready to leave. Why can't the government grasp this simple fact???
By all means say thank you to the NHS. But don't care workers, who cared for people without PPE, virtually no guidance and often on minimum wage, deserve a medal too?

Thinking about home care workers today, trying to make essential visits to the people they care for in the eye of the storm. Thank you and stay safe

Lots of angry and upset relatives contacting our homes & services today wanting to know what's happening at Christmas. It really is beyond belief that this incompetent administration chose to change the law at 5pm on a Saturday. Leaving care workers to pick up the pieces.
Amazing innovation! Using Google Street View to revive old memories for people living with dementia, by cycling round familiar streets on a stationary bike
