Currently, @graphprotocol 's hosted service supports indexing for two @cosmos chains: @cosmoshub and @osmosiszone . Yesterday, @Figment_io held a workshop on developing subgraphs for the Tendermint-based chains. Some notes from the workshop and more:

1. İki kez bölüm tarafından mağdur edildim, tüm çabalarıma rağmen hiçbir yetkili ilgilenmedi benimle. Monarşi gibi ortam, çok yanlış şeyler oluyor. Mağdur olan başka birçok insan gördüm duydum. Bunları yapanları denetleyen, gittiğinizde dinleyen kimse yok, gerçekten içler acısı.

A metaphor: if you have all the shades of colors, you could easily mix some shade of yellow with some shade of red to obtain some shade of orange, but if you were given a shade of orange, it is not at all easy to figure out which shades of which colors are mixed to obtain it.

As opposed to the case where the quick solution would be known not to exist or at least might not exist, P=NP isn't so peaceful. With the note that the existence of something does not imply we are likely to find it soon, if ever.

P in P=NP represents the set of problems for which there exists an algorithm to find a solution quickly (in polynomial time, thus the P). NP in P=NP represents the set of problems for which we can find out if a given answer is a correct solution quickly (in polynomial time).

You can write an algorithm that will take literally AGES for a computer to run. On the other hand, polynomial-time algorithms will be run by your computer "quickly" (in a feasible amount of time) no matter how large the input is.

If you are familiar with subgraphs, good news! Almost everything is the same as Ethereum subgraphs. If not, I added some resources at the end of this thread. Let's compare two subgraphs. One from Ethereum: One from Cosmos Hub:

The hash is one of those quickly verifiable but (to our knowledge) not quickly solvable problems. And some proof of work systems like Bitcoin relies on it.

To answer the tweet, the answer is no. P=NP does not imply polynomial time problems have polynomial time inverses. Even some polynomials don't have inverses. It means that there exist polynomial time algorithms for polynomial time hashes leading to solutions.

Then, the only reason for the existence of polynomial-time problems we can quickly verify answers for but cannot quickly solve RIGHT NOW and thus heavily rely on would be our inability to find the quick algorithm YET.

Here, the quickly verifiable answer is specific shades of yellow and red. You can easily mix them and compare them with the orange you have. The hard problem is to find the yellow and red when the orange is given. You would have to try the infinite different pairs of shades.

Now, if we knew that P=NP, we would know a problem can be quickly solved whenever we can quickly verify a given answer for it. Remember that these are the types of problems we rely on for the security of our bank accounts right now.

First, since the integration is on the level of the consensus (Tendermint), it is easier and faster to integrate more Tendermint-based chains into the hosted service now. Might be a good time to learn about developing Cosmos subgraphs. 👀
