How did they execute this attack ? They wrote the virus , updated the icon to make it look like pdf and added .pdf in the name. If you check the properties it will be .scr not .pdf. ⚠️This is not only limited to PDF spoofing , it can be .doc, .txt etc.⚠️

Hacker shows himself as an artist and sends his portfolio which contains a few same art works and a fake pdf file. Which will look like a PDF but it is actually a Screen Saver (.scr) file, which is an executable script. How the wallets are drained is still unknown.
