Trams used the Glen Huntly tram square โ the place where train and tram rails and overhead electrical meet โ for the last time on Friday 5 May, before it was removed as part of level crossing removal works.

๐ช The new roads are supported by 37 massive concrete beams, each weighing between 30 and 73 tonnes.

Less than a year ago, piling rigs & cranes were arriving at Toorak Rd to start building the new elevated rail bridge.
Now weโve finished the final piece - landscaping!
37,000 trees, shrubs & grasses have been planted, the open spaces are finished and shared use paths are open.

On Saturday, two Steamrail Victoria steam trains travelled between Moorabbin and Carrum/Kananook on their Bayside Shuttle tour.
It was the first time the steam trains have travelled through our brand-new Cheltenham, Mentone, and Carrum stations ๐

โ We opened 2.5km of separated bike and pedestrian paths under the Upfield line, between the new Moreland & Coburg stations.

We heard the community wanted the station to reflect the local area so the design has plenty of garden spaces, red brick and bluestone.

Both the new multi-deck car park and the final section of the stationโs landscaped forecourt on Charman Road are now open.
The forecourt has green space, a Parkiteer, seating, landscaping and safe access to the Charman Road shops ๐ด
๐ฑ Removing the level crossings at Oakover Rd, Bell St, Cramer St, and Murray Rd has created 3 MCGโs worth of public open space in Preston.
We've planted 700 new trees and around 148,000 plants, shrubs & grasses underneath the raised rail bridge for the community to enjoy.
๐ 72 level crossings are gone for good and Glen Huntly is now boom gate free!
๐ Trains and express services are back on the Frankston Line.
