5/ Future Plans
Future plans for Parallel EVM include a dependency graph for faster syncing and a redesigned scheduler to minimize overhead. Continuous speed improvements ahead!
4/ To tackle state access, RISE is building a Versioned Merkle Tree to minimize disc compaction, and RiseDB, a custom delta-encoded log-structured database.

3/ Parallel Dapps
21 GigaGas/sec is 3,000x faster than Arbitrum, but independent transactions are key. Parallel DApps are the future for Ethereum scalability.
Blobs are live on Ethereum Mainnet!
The Dencun fork finalized without issues and the network has been running stably since then. We can see healthy blob propagation statistics (expect a deeper analysis over the next weeks).

's Continuous Block Pipeline is processing UniswapV3 swaps at 1.3 Ggas/s on a live devnet (not historical sync) ⚡️.
This is achieved with commodity hardware for sequencer and full nodes ($160/month bare metal).
2/ Giga Gas Benchmark
Achieving 2x to 4x speedup in EVM execution with a peak of 23x for large blocks, but state access remains a bottleneck. More optimizations ahead!
1/ Lazy Updates To The Rescue
Leveraging lazy evaluation in EVM transactions allows for parallel processing, boosting speed by deferring balance updates until block completion.
We have made great strides in the world of blockchain scaling in the last 10 years.

Integrating PowerEVM into Reth is challenging but promising. Thorough testing ensures correct and fast execution, with minimal code changes needed.
