@itsmichellehann It’s like the McDonald’s hot coffee case. It’s easy to victim blame until you look at the actual details. A toxicologist showed how much caffeine it had compared to a shot of espresso. They could have made it caffeinated without making it insanely caffeinated with free refills

@jhary_lee I realized I was out of a psych med on a Thursday. Couldn’t get a hold of my psychiatrist. Called my PCP and asked her if she could prescribe me at least a few days of pills. She said no. I said I was going to go into withdrawal which is dangerous. She told me to go to the ED 🤬

@HillaryMonahan Met a super mean shelter cat who was going to end up put to sleep. For some reason she liked me. So we tried to adopt her. We got denied be because we had a cat that went outside at one point in the past (our neighbor abandoned him). Had to have a friend go adopt her for us 😑

@mominmedicine We have a kid with ARFID and my in laws stopped telling him to eat more/ try things so now they just loudly praise my other kids for being good eaters 😑🤬. I’m over it. Don’t comment on my kids appearance or eating habits, hard stop.

@KCDavisSays Your preferred pad/ tampon times a few. My son hurt his face, badly, and I jumped in the car and drove off with just my purse. I had 1-2 backups in my purse which wasn’t enough for how long we were there. A nice nurse got me a few hospital pads but they aren’t the best.

@AshleyGWinter So many older “classic” books are completely male centered. I just change them when I’m reading them (both to my male and female children). We use gender neutral work terms- postal carrier, fire fighter, police officer. It’s so hard when “he” is the default for everything.

@sarit_yael I offered to provide two HEPAs for each of my kids classes (to keep the noise down) plus two years of refill filters and a hand vacuum to clean. I also offered to fundraise to do the same for other classes. I was told no - HEPAs are not alllows to be donated or used.

@acweyand I had such a horrible time finding a pain doctor quickly and I’m in the metro Boston area. I was in excruciating pain that nobody could figure out after a surgery, after all typical sources had been figured out. And the waiting time was months and months.

@ladoctorajones I had to advocate very heavily for lidocaine spray before my 4 uterine biopsies prior to my hysterectomy. They hasn’t even told me to take Motrin ahead of time. Just grab a cervix, put instruments up into the uterus and remove four pieces cold Turkey? It’s barbaric.

@maosbot Hair. But yes I use the head straps and just have to always put my hair up if I’m leaving the house. This is an additional issue in the business setting as I’m not the only one wearing a mask, but I’m the only female without my hair nicely done and down.

She could never eat food after expiration date, couldn’t enjoy food and wine much anymore, had issues knowing if she put on perfume or what her body wash smelled like. Many things you don’t even think about.

@Lee_CrollPhD It’s terrible. None of us asked for or planned how to parent in a pandemic. Weighing exposure versus known safety of home day after day. We live in a cold winter area, so seeing people outside and eating outside is not an option, so winter makes us even more separated.

@JaymetheRN I had to ask for numbing spray for my cervix for my 4 uterine biopsies. Dr said he “could try to find it”. I told him I would wait. He found it and it made the procedure SO much more bearable. Easy and should be routine.
