Grabbed a meal deal and noticed my England report from Twickenham yesterday was trailed on the Observer front page, it is still so surreal to be published in the paper
#W6N
Bryan Habana was asked on the Boks Office podcast who the top RWC try-scorer was as they wanted him to say himself (he's tied with Jonah Lomu with 15 tries). But instead he answered Portia Woodman-Wickliffe (she has 20). That's how representation grows 👏👏
I’m emotional seeing the record support at Kingsholm for England v Wales. So many times I’ve seen messages and heard people saying who cares about women’s rugby?
Thousands 👏🏻 of 👏🏻 people 👏🏻do

I’m in the airport waiting for my flight home and thought I’d have a look at my report in print from yesterday, found it made the front of the sport section ☺️
Some criticism being aimed at Simon Middleton but he has been huge for England. Since becoming head coach in 2015 he has claimed five Six Nations titles, two record wins over New Zealand and record-breaking 30 consecutive wins. No World Cup but his side almost won it with 14
Does anyone else feel Sam Kerr is underrated? She definitely receives a lot of praise but to have Golden Boots in three different leagues, be her country’s top scorer and setting records in the Champions League, it feels like she needs to be spoken about more

When asked about how exciting RWC 2023 has been, England head coach Steve Borthwick spoke really well on 'tier two' nations: "One exciting thing is the gap between tier one and tier two and how that has closed. 1/2

This Euros has also got me excited for the 2025 Rugby World Cup, seeing crowds go wild for the Red Roses will be equally as emotional

The shout out from
@andNickMullins
about the Premier 15s starting next week has just underpinned what this tournament has done for the sport. An incredible tournament, spine-tingling final and record-breaking attendances. Let's see it filter into the club game

🚨 Big news 🚨
Harlequins and England prop Shaunagh Brown is retiring from rugby at the end of December. She hangs up her boots with 30 caps, four Six Nations titles and a Premier 15s trophy.

I absolutely love your show, it’s not just Queer Eye, it’s so much bigger than that! Changing societies views and having political impact
To be featured on The Indy front page is definitely a career highlight. Covering the Six Nations has been incredible and for a report I wrote to be on the front page is amazing!
@Independent
In 2020 I covered England v Wales in the Women’s Six Nations which was played at the Stoop, quite literally in the shadow of the men who had their game on the same day at Twickenham. Today I’m heading to the Red Roses’ first standalone match at Twickers with a world record crowd
#journorequest
are there any girls or women’s rugby clubs who are training Saturday morning who are watching the RWC final together? Let me know if you are!
Ireland put in a real shift to prove everyone wrong with England far off a record tournament defeat. It is the Red Roses' lowest scoring game of the campaign so far. England need to be better next week

Have a read of my follow-up of the dominant Saracens win over Exeter yesterday!
In my research for this I found Saracens have lost just 8 games in 92 played in the Premier 15s 🤯

So grateful to
@BryonyCleall
for speaking to me about missing out on the England squad, supporting Poppy and flying out for the final.

Portia Woodman eclipses Sue Day's record for the most tries in Rugby World Cup history. 20 scores in eight appearances, an unbelievable stat

Putting both competitions under one sponsorship is great in terms of marketing the men and women's games alongside each other. I hope Guinness do a lot in terms social media, for example Maro Itoje and Abbie Ward chatting line-outs would be a video I'd want to see

🛎Personal news🛎 I will be starting as a digital sports journalist at a new publication in September! I will be moving to London too so it’s a new chapter 🥳
What a semi-final! Questions over Canada's fitness dispelled as they just kept hammering England's line, the fact they are amateur is mind-blowing! But in the end the Red Roses see out an absolute thriller

"From a coaching point of view it was a bit close for comfort! I have also enjoyed a lot of the other games. The way Portugal have come and played. I think you see a tournament that has been a bit different to previous World Cups."
Just because someone doesn’t have a degree or hasn’t gone through the usual channels to be successful doesn’t mean they don’t deserve it!

you’ve worked so so hard to be where you are and I can’t wait to read your novel❤️
One of the biggest days of my career so far and I'm realising a dream I would never have thought would be possible - join me for Spain v England in the World Cup final:
Absolutely love this from
@AlexScott
: “

, millions care. Millions. Like our captain Leah Williamson said, the tournament may be over but the journey has just begun.”
The Premier 15s will have its first final without the presence of Saracens. Unbelieveable heart from Exeter to down the defending champions. History beckons for Exeter or Gloucester-Hartpury in the final

Owen Farrell is just 27 points away from breaking England men’s all-time point scoring record. It is currently held by Jonny Wilkinson who scored 1,179 points
Ben Youngs equalling the England men’s cap record with 114 but he’s a long way off the overall record. Rocky Clark holds that with 137 caps 🔥

Ben Youngs has had an amazing career and deserves his plaudits when he bows out of England duty this weekend. However, he is not England’s most capped player. That record belongs to Sarah Hunter with 141 caps

Warren Gatland says ahead of returning to the Wales coaching job he “wasn’t aware of any of the issues that were taking place".
"Probably last week (when I learned of it). Everyone needs to take responsibility."
"A lot of the [exciting] games involved tier two teams. We experienced it ourselves, in particular in our games against Fiji and Samoa. Those guys have got world class players in their teams and we have had very tight, enthralling encounters.
My coverage ends with Spain's trophy lift. 21 live blogs and three features in my first World Cup - such a privilege from a personal perspective and amazing to see women's football in the spotlight. 1.8 million people reading my final blog was also mind blowing🤯

Anyone else still get really confused looking at the clock even though we knew it was changing? It's before the match kicked off even though we're at half-time, trippy as hell

A word for Steve Borthwick and his coaching staff too. They have been in charge of England since December and have taken a lot of criticism but put together a heroic game plan together today. Huge.

Leah Williamson joins Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema in Arsenal's squad alone to suffer an ACL this season, more research is needed into why the rate of this injury is so high in women's football. A huge blow for Arsenal and England, less than 100 days out from the World Cup
If anyone has anxiety or is just feeling a bit shit watch this, I absolutely love it❤️

If Owen Farrell pursues a deal in France, in my opinion he isn't 'turning his back on English rugby'. He's pursuing an opportunity while taking time away from international rugby. Saracens would certainly miss him but what an addition he would be to Racing's squad
The worst defeat at Twickenham ever for this English side. Blown away by a clinical, professional and lethal French team. Steve Borthwick has a lot of work to do. This performance has also proved Engand's problems run deeper than who plays at 10.

🚨 Breaking news 🚨
Courtney Lawes will leave Northampton Saints after 17 years at the club at the end of the season.
The 35-year-old will join Brive in a ‘transformational’ deal for his family. Lawes retired from international rugby last year.
What a game! As an England fan it's a heartbreaking end, but, as a rugby fan those are the games we want to see. A tasty competition and I cannot wait to see if Scotland can capitalise on this momentum.

I’m so happy to say that I’ve passed my MA Newspaper Journalism course! At times it has been stressful with my travels thrown in but I am delighted with the result ☺️

Some great things to take from that match for England but they need huge improvements to have a shot at the World Cup next year
