Hunter Bigge has made some pretty immediate tweaks with the Rays. He's added almost 2" ride to his 4-seamer, bringing it up to 19.4". He's also added depth to his curveball, 1.5" of ride to his slider (the most Rays thing ever), and almost 3.5" of break to his sweeper.

Shane McClanahan's 1.97 xFIP in 2022 is 0.62 lower than the next lowest (Gausman). That's roughly the same difference as between the 2nd and 11th lowest. It's also the 2nd lowest mark over a pitchers first 12 starts in a season in the statcast era, behind only 2021 deGrom.
