i've said this before, but yujin exuberates a crazy confidence that no other member has. seeing her in person, i could feel the power in her voice and her gait. she not only hits the notes, but she sings loudly and emphatically. it was so empowering to listen to her.

also, she mentioned that americans like to bark (or "ooh ooh" as she says). i think she saw clips of americans barking at ryujin, yuqi, etc. she started barking and the crowd followed. fyi we were barking WITH the 17 y/o, not AT the 17 y/o! (unless josh giddey was in the crowd)

remember that word: strength. that’s the one trait that yujin always oozes, whether it’s her ice cold stare on-stage or her wide eye smile off-stage. no matter the circumstance, yujin will be herself. she’s a tree swaying in the wind, but firmly rooted in self.

another yujin/puppy connection: she’s very emotionally expressive. this ties into the “feminine” side of “feminine confidence.” i could list examples for days, but ill let past me explain it. being comfortable showing emotions is another sign of confidence

and that’s not to say that girl crush concepts are bad, I just think it’s more of a masculine take on confidence. but maturity doesn’t necessarily mean acting cooler/sexier. and an yujin is the perfect example of a girl who is still very feminine…

even when she's shaking ass on stage, gaeul can never shake the warm homegirl vibes that make her so charming. her humility and sweetness are a nice complement to wony's glitz and glamour (same w yujin). i will never understand why this woman isn't more popular.

and some of the members were visibly fatigued. i suspect this could be the case at times for any kpop group. however, IVE were well-rested and excited to perform in the US, and that made the concert so much fun. all the members were bursting with energy from start to finish (5/?)

wonyoung: most idols look even prettier in person, but wony was probably the only member that looks exactly the same in person as she does on screen. i think this just speaks to how photogenic her face is; it's not a bad thing, but it just meant that she didn't surprise me much

those sharp visuals and badass aura that she emits on-stage makes her an incredible girl crush idol on stage. she has a husky, deep voice that stands out amongst the group. while i want more opportunities for other members, i do understand why starship loves yujin

rei: same w gaeul, i didn't pay much attention to her at first. she was probably the most stiff dancer. but then she decided to perform EVERY SUMMERTIME BY NIKI AS HER SOLO STAGE as a US tour exclusive. i fuckin love that song so i was geeked, and then i got invested in her.

i've only been to one other kpop concert before (BP) but i actually think that comparing these two shows gives a good idea of how IVE was as a whole. BP has 3 english speakers and they were on their 2nd world tour. they had vast experience and savvy to control a crowd... (1/?)

and i know it cuz I’ve only recently gotten into yujin, and yet she’s ascended up my list so rapidly and leapfrogged idols that i’ve adored for years. the ONLY issue w such a perfect woman is that u almost feel insecure around her. u don’t want to drag her back w your problems
