3 mistakes players make when working out: 1. Working on things that rarely happen in games. (5+ dribble combos into long step back 2s) 2. Not going game speed in everything you do. 3. Whenever possible- Add defense! Basketball is a decision making sport. 1% better every day

🗣 Middle school kids don’t need exposure, rankings, write ups etc. They need to get in the gym and work on their off hand, learn what hard work is and have fun playing basketball. Too much nonsense hyping all these kids up at age 12. It doesn’t do anyone any good.

SO excited to launch our 1st @MWBBallTraining Training Facility located in Brooklyn Park! Since I began training 15 years ago it's always been a dream of mine to have our own spot. Grand Opening is Jan 4th. We are not 100% done yet but will be open (limited avail.) on Dec 26.

When I was in 8th grade right around this time of year I tried to quit 🏀. New coach, went from starter to bench player, negative experience and was not having fun. Thank God my parents wouldn't let me quit! If you are struggling right now, KEEP GOING. It will get better! 🙏

Today for “home school” I took Caleb to the @Twins game. First playoff win in 19 years! Budweiser Roof Deck home school experiences ✅ Met 2 blue jays fan and learned some smack talk / how to talk to adults respectfully ✅ Learned what happens if you drink to much and pass

4 years ago today... We were driving home from Brainerd from a wedding at 2am trying to find a hospital as this guy wanted to kick his way out early. We made it to St. Cloud & he hasn’t sat still since. HBD to the most competitive & caring 4 year old I know. We love you Caleb!

1 thing I refuse to do as a trainer: Tell a kid they are going Pro, D1 or say to them their coach should play them more. Human nature 101- Most kids think they are better than they actually are. Find 2-3 areas to improve, lock in and focus on them daily. #TheProcess

Just got off a call with a youth bball president. It's 1030pm, they have spent 30 hours a week outside of their full time job & fam volunteering to help grow the game. I hope parents (especially the crazies) realize how great MN 🏀 is because of the countless people like them! 👏

Big decision Thursday on schools. Whatever decision is made there will be people upset. There is no “right/perfect” answer... What we can do though regardless of what happens is stay positive, make the best of the situation & focus on 1 day at a time. It always could be worse.

This week I saw the worst officiated HS bball gm I’ve seen. The ref shortage is real. How we make it better: Pay HS refs more! People are taking time away from their families to get yelled at constantly. Thank a good ref when you see one. Don’t yell at refs all game.
