need more people to start engaging with smaller artists and bands. thereβs great music out there that is much more affordable and Iβm not even talking about unsigned/DIY acts. there are artists on indie labels that make fantastic music with show tickets under $40. please just try
so sad to me that live music is slowly becoming less and less accessible to fans. whether itβs botted presales, scalpers, or just unreasonable ticket prices. just feels like something i love with all my heart is becoming more and more competitive with every tour thatβs announced.
you donβt need music theory, you do need music theory, whatever, what you really need is HYBRID theory. forfeit the game before somebody else takes you out of the frame and puts your name to shame
pulses. is gonna be a black band that deserves your support year round btw, not just today or in February or whenever itβs safe or cool to remember that we are. being black is ingrained in this music so much, some of yβall confuse it for other things. happy Juneteenth yβall
real talk: these threads are great but can we PLEASE stop only adding bands that were active 30+ years ago as examples, having Vic Fuentes from Pierce the Veil as the only modern example of POC in rock is sad
hey there, weβre pulses.
on our newest album βIt Wasnβt Supposed to Be Like Thisβ we fuse post-hardcore with
- UK 2-step garage
- west coast hip hop
- ska
- 2000s R&B / new jack swing
+ more
weβre just doing what feels good. not trying to be the most defining but itβs fun
Bands that donβt stick to a single genre and encourage other genres into their music are always the most defining bands in the scene but they also can help create new sub genres too. We need more βgenrelessβ bands
rock/metal is a very pandering genre right now. every song is about βbattling your demonsβ or an AI apocalypse. i want to challenge bands to dig deeper and write more authentically and creatively. and i want to challenge fans to not reward bands for simply writing a low effort

real talk y'all: we wanna play in as many cities as possible this year but we are but a small band with not enough money to get everywhere. we want to try our best. please sound out your location on this tweet so we can keep a list of places! thanks for your patience and support!
Itβs been one year since our album, βIt Wasnβt Supposed To Be Like Thisβ was available to the world.
Thank you all so much for listening and supporting us over the year, weβve already had some cool adventures supporting this thing.
Share some of your favorite memories/songs!
I remember seeing an r/posthardcore post where someone said we have cringe lyrics bc we talk about twitter/Zuckerberg and rizz on dynamite like we need another chump talking about the undertow or how people stab me in the front for the thousandth time
just as a reminder, we released a go-go/post-hardcore song and havenβt seen enough hype for that hybrid
Exist Warp Brakes ainβt happening on other scene albums bruh
just watched our hate5six set on patreon, canβt wait til yβall can see it. honored to be filmed by Sunny and be alongside so many cool bands on the channel

we knew we wanted to pick something that resonated with us and lent itself to post-hardcore and this was the no brainer choice
stoked for yβall to hear it!
Is fandom culture ruining the scene?
Bad Omens harassed so much they deleted their socials? Sleep Token birth certificates leaked? Oli choked by a fan at a BMTH show?
What is happening rn? We need to get it together because this level of obsession canβt be good for the scene
