I walked up to the Prime Minister of Barbados
@miaamormottley
to let her know about my work documenting the life and times of King Jaja of Opobo. Once I let her know Iโm from Opobo she started reciting the famous Bajan folk song โKing Ja Ja won leh beka loneโ to me.
Iconic!

This is fantastic actually and works well for us. Donโt bother wasting time by approaching what you already determined to be beyond you. โญ๏ธ

: A lot of iPhone users do not know the full extent of their ๐ฑsโ functionality or how it compares to competitor brands because we purchase these devices not as tools to be purposefully used; but as status symbols.

I didnโt realize how toxic time wasting was, until I started working with people who live by a strict time schedule.
10AM and 10:01AM are not the same - please take note.
My weekend peaked with news that I have been selected for the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Youth Fellowship out of ~ 700 global applicants.
With this I will be at IMF Annual Meetings, attend the trainings, and contribute ideas to a global discourse.

as we kick off Africaโs biggest democratic exercise. My focus today is on first time voters - especially the Nigerian youth who are deemed โdeterminantsโ in todays election.
Iโm careful with our women as I approach 30. Many around me claim they are repressed, yet their choices are boldly consensual. Even with financial freedoms, I still see my friends wholly choosing societal strictures/patriarchy.
The text is a third-party account, no wonder.

I do. I think they did what they did because they wanted to. They liked Fela. They enjoyed the cachet of being his women The thing about societal strictures is an interpretation by third parties. Finally, they bowed to the so-called strictures by insisting he marry them. . . So.
@maxvayshia
I think that marriages have become more about spectacle - and the breakdowns youโve observed are reflective of a generation that canโt train for marathons but enjoy taking pics in workout gear.

Thanks for the moral support Dr. Oby.
We had a wild weekend at the polls then returned to class to discuss monetary, fiscal, and exchange rate policy and trade. Iโve always wondered why economic principles work elsewhere but Nigeria. Dr. Ezilo hit the nail on our heads o ๐ฉ

I donโt find this type of comment insulting. Letโs not act oblivious to the fact that although youโre out-of-reach based on their budget, there are others that can accommodate it for less. I personally outsource opportunities below my pay grade to upcoming talents in my field. ๐๐พ

It is wrong to assume that everyone has the same ideals as you. Living abroad is not everyoneโs ideal, skills are not location specific, and the future of work is virtual. Understand that you can move back to the continent, earn in dollars, and spend in local currency. ๐

In my early writing days I write and edit simultaneously and so struggled with time a lot. Now I write without stopping and edit when I wake up from my nap.
Editing is a standalone task from writing and should not be done while writing.

Good initiative, thank you Mr. President. We trust that the NCC was thorough in their approach to the deployment of Starlink in Nigeria. In particular, we hope that data vulnerabilities in relation to national security and privacy protections will not arise now or in the future.
