One of the fun things about making great games is that we get to see amazing fans make them even better. Here is a shot from Star Wars: Empire at War with the remake mod.
You were uh... so preoccupied with whether or not you could. That you, uh, never stopped to think about if you should... use dinosaurs on the battlefield.
New week, new thought for RTS fans out there.
What game would you like to see made into an RTS? Alternatively, what RTS would you like to see made in another genre?
(Pic unrelated... promise)
We have been having fun working with the new "super weapons" coming in 9-Bit Armies. But we wanted to ask what is your fav super weapon in a Real-Time Strategy game? Maybe it is not the best or you did not get to use it very often, but what was the most FUN?
Award-winning video game composer Frank Klepacki has been cooking for 9-Bit Armies.
With the auspices of the virtuoso himself we are releasing the first four tracks of the official soundtrack to everyone for free!

Commanders, another RTS question today.
Lots of RTS games have two, or more, factions that play differently from one another. Was there ever a game where you loved playing one faction but hated another one? And why do you think that was?
Commanders, are you looking for a good deal on expanding your army? Because the Steam Autumn Sale is here!

9-Bit Armies:
Modding is often the special ingredient for a game having a long life. We love the creativity of the community and are working on new improved tools in 9-Bit Armies to enable these amazing modders to do what they do best.
Game developers often directly support modding. We've worked closely with
@petroglyphgames
and
@Stardock
on EaW and Sins, and while there are legal limitations on what can be owned, done or communicated, both sides of that relationship understand the importance of honest comms.
9-Bit Armies: A Bit Too Far launches in early access! Dive into a 12-mission campaign, co-op, fierce versus modes, and daily challenges. Join us for our living roadmap updates.
As the days grow colder, beware of sudden alien invasions over the tundra!
Wishing everyone a cozy, but not laser beam cozy, week here from Petroglyph. All of us are busy working on 9 Bit Armies and hope to show off more later this month.
Greetings commanders!
Today we are happy to announce that we will be in the Steam Next Fest with 9-Bit Armies: A Bit Too Far (), the sequel to our 8-Bit Armies series of "easy to learn hard to master" RTS games made for old and new fans alike.
You can play as contemporary day marines with machine guns, extra-terrestrials made of living coral swallowing up the map, or an army with a literal fire-breathing dragon in the lead!
What is your fav faction in an RTS and why?
We will be adding a fresh wave of testers for our new RTS, 9-Bit Armies for the weekend. If you have not done so be sure you signed up on our tester sign-ups and joined our discord server as we will be reaching out over the next couple of days.

With naval warfare coming to 9-Bit Armies we thought we'd ask:
What is your favorite naval unit in an RTS? From dolphins to cruisers with legs there is a lot to choose from.
Whether you enjoy small or large matches we have a map for every occasion in 9-Bit Armies. In this game we were playing 2v2v2v2 with islands. Sea transports helped capture resources power whilst submarines lurked in the water.
The sharks didn't get us yet!
