Girl if you stand up for women you’re a feminist, you may not like the title because men have made it seem like feminism is out to get them but fighting for women makes you a feminist.
@unique_simi
I’m just glad that she at least got to realise how silly it is that she almost threw her career away for a husband that didn’t even exist yet.
Imagine the amount of think pieces being written about a woman who just records herself cooking in her kitchen. God forbid a woman chooses a more traditional lifestyle.
Just to be clear:
-Mormons are paid to promote their lifestyle to recruit people to their cult
-this woman is 22 and pregnant with her 3rd child, she was married at 18
-half the comments on her TikTok are younger women & girls saying things like ‘I wanna be you when I grow up’
@khanyimsimangg
It’s important not to dwell on what could’ve been. If you had kept quiet you might’ve probably ended up feeling miserable being with them.

@Pare_Mic
While i do agree with this i feel like sometimes it comes from a place of empathy. Sharing your own experiences to let them know that they’re not alone in their struggles. And it may not be intended to invalidate their experience.
@kabylefem
It takes a certain level of awareness to acknowledge this and unfortunately it’ll be a looooong time until we are truly free from the clutches of the patriarchy.

Didn’t we just see that one video of a girl requesting for iPhone and her father responded that she should sell her body? Even though the chat is staged parents like this exist everywhere, because we’re lucky to have good parents doesn’t mean bad ones don’t exist.

@HelenAndI
This is evidence of surface level thinking and shallow understanding of the quote therefore i will explain to you that ‘prostitution’ in this context expresses how the prevalent patriarchal control ties women to their utility which reduces their worth to a transactional exchange.

@Dragoncreeper99
Oh you’re right! I’ll make sure that the next time i want to eat chips and lay under a blanket snuggled with my partner while watching a movie i’ll put on a nice sparkly dress and eye shadow glitter
She just pointed out how people prioritise the label of marriage over the true essence of being loved wholly in a lifelong commitment. And you’re proving her right by failing to understand her post.
@Neo_Marshall
Obviously her being in a position of power wasn’t enough for you to give her respect, you told her TWICE not to speak to you with a certain tone and meanwhile she’s probably just trying to be firm so you don’t disrespect her.
@ifemuyiwa_karo
Well because they violate basic principles, inherent values and also human rights. Philosophical frameworks demonstrate that these things are wrong which makes them transcend subjective opinions i.e feelings. Think before putting things like this on social media next time.

@Wizarab10
I don’t see how THEIR behaviour is HER fault, how they choose to behave is not a reflection of her value, they’re obviously the ones with the problem and their behaviour comes from a place of wanting to damage each other’s egos.

A child goes outside to play under the rain when it’s raining, a child plays with toys and plays pretend soldier, a child does not break into someone’s home, a child does not attempt murder and a child does not rape!
@Samuell_Black
No fr, it feels like some horny teenager that’s making their sexual orientation their entire identity. At least that’s how i remember how some boys were in ss2
@qUeenofTheTown7
4 months is a long period to be wasting someone’s time, it must hurt very much i’m sorry and i hope that you find healing and some closure in her message
@SamanthaEdn
I personally don’t see anything wrong with it, they seem pretty excited to be trying on something from a different culture and I think it’s wholesome, as far as the culture isn’t being disrespected irdc
@Davidclint146
Show me where she blamed anyone but herself for the assault. Even though it was a very stupid thing for her to do, that doesn’t make a 23 year old assaulting a 17 year old okay.
@kabylefem
Some of you will go on and misinterpret my post so now i have to make it clear that i genuinely believe clothing is a form of self expression but why does it have to revolve around amplifying your sexual appeal?
My sister was coming back home from work when a power line started sparking and she looked up scared, one Agbero told her that she shouldn’t be afraid that NEPA people were working on it and she just thought “oh okay” and went her way. 1/2
@Mochievous
The same men will say don’t let women give you their 2 cents because you will regret it but when a man does it and acts like that his behaviour is justified????
