@mhdksafa I had teachers who harassed me because I fell asleep or yawned in school. Why? Because I stayed awake most nights to hide or escape my stepfather who would come home drunk and molest me. People need to think before you add more pain to someone who is already struggling.

@CDCgov I work in a school and am in very close contact with about 100 students a day. Requiring masks would help. Because I teach reading it’s hard for me to always wear a mask, when I need to model physically, how to produce a sound or word and unmasked students leave us at risk.

@gggirl924 I risk going to work everyday. I was never so happy as I was in lockdown. Teaching is a struggle. Kids are suffering mentally, economically and add the daily fear of being gunned down to that list. Teachers are struggling to meet all these desperate needs. It’s worn me out.

@IAmPoliticsGirl No kidding. I got hit with a ruler and sent out to stand outside a classroom all day, after yawning. I was a very shy kid. The reason I yawned was because I had spent the night hiding from an abusive parent who was drunk. Sometimes kids actions are a result of personal issues.

@PaulMarcoe I agree. Sadly our adopted pup who has suffered a month long assault of M80s compliments of a nearby neighbor had a major seizure. It’s likely the stress of the constant booms he had to endure. Luckily he is fine otherwise after a night in the emergency vet and a huge bill!
