What a night! On evenings like this, there is nowhere better than Goodison Park. It was a tactical masterclass from Dyche, we played to our strengths, fought for every ball + took our chances. DCL was immense + Jarrad Branthwaite showed VVD what defending is about ! #EFC #NSNO

Another appalling example of the media rewriting football history. Aston Villa + Nottingham Forest both won the European Cup , at a time when you had to win your league ( not finish 4th) to qualify. Football existed before 1992. We legacy fans remember! You can't erase history.

Compared to the Derby where we were completely outplayed and outthought, you can appreciate the difference Lampard is making. Got his tactics + organisation right today, had the team competing for every ball + the players believe in him. Results will come. #EFC #NSNO

I don't mind getting beat by a better side. What I can't accept is lack of effort, shoddy passing, failure to keep possession + not creating a single chance.I grew watching Everton teams that fought tooth + nail for a win, this is simply unacceptable + cheating the fans. #EFC #NSNO

The swathes of empty seats after West Ham's second goal spoke volumes about the disillusionment sweeping Goodison. So frustrating that after being given 4 points back by the PL, we gift 3 of them away. Forgotten what it is like to win a home league game. #EFC #NSNO

Wasn't convinced by return of @IGanaGueye especially when Lampard's system left him exposed in midfield. However, under Dyche he has been brilliant, winning tackles, spotting danger + using the ball well. He was everywhere yesterday, an absolute midfield masterclass. #EFC #NSNO

Last night , Jordan Pickford should have been remembered as the best England keeper since Gordon Banks for his penalty heroics. That save from Jorginho was stunning. How can anybody ever question his 'big match temperament' again. Lee Dixon + Jermaine Jenas you were out of order.

When they said Craig Pawson was on VAR - you just knew what was coming next. Ineptitude at the highest level. Every game Everton play is always at the mercy of a bizarre decision from a clown at Stockley Park. Did well to get a draw against 12 men tonight. #EFC #NSNO

Peter Farrell, then playing for Everton, scored Ireland's second goal when they beat England 2-0 at Goodison Park in September 49. They, not Hungary , were the first foreign side to beat England on home soil in an International fixture. #EFC #NSNO #ireland

@HowardsWayFilm @RobSloman @EvertonHeritage @TheBlack_Watch @GavinBuckland1 One of the most baffling mysteries in football. How on earth did these two magnificent midfielders only win one solitary England cap between them ? #EFC #NSNO

Some remember him for his Derby own goal, true Blues remember him for his winning goal in the first ever European Cup penalty shootout v Borussia Monchengladbach in 1970.

Was at this game, late March, soaked in the Clock End, Liverpool lost to Wimbledon at Anfield on the same afternoon. Felt like we’d won the league that day….

Not long ago we were the Champions of England with the best manager in Europe. Our recruitment was outstanding, if key players were injured, we dealt with it. We went into every game expecting to win, we scored goals for fun.'The Forgotten Champions', Everton's 87 title. #EFC #NSNO

Been planning for this day for 30 years. Cancelled my newspapers , watching @HowardsWayFilm on a loop, radio switched off, not watching any TV news, phone on mute, cancelled my holiday to Norway, not answering the door + staying indoors. Any other ideas? #EFC #NSNO

In terms of Everton's history, that strike from Michael Keane was arguably as important as Barry Horne's v Wimbledon. Keane has had his critics, myself included, this year but when we needed someone to save our season, he delivered with a simply fantastic goal! #EFC #NSNO

Happy 86th birthday to Gordon Lee. Featured here as the young Port Vale manager in the Football League Review. If fates had been kinder then Gordon could have won a League Cup + FA Cup double in 1977 with Everton. @MemorabiliaMal @thecentretunnel @Theleaguemag #EFC #NSNO

OTD in 1987, Everton took a massive step towards the title returning to the top after a 2-1 win at Chelsea. Alan Harper's stunning screamer sealed the victory in a man of the match performance. Read about it ' The Forgotten Champions', the story of the 87 title win. #EFC #NSNO

@Everton @EvertonHeritage @EFCFPF .Happy birthday to former Everton keeper Jim Arnold who was born on this day in 1950. Played for Kendall at Blackburn who then brought him to Goodison as his 1st choice keeper. Initially preferred to @NevilleSouthall in goal #EFC #NSNO

Ellis Simms scored 2 goals on his loan debut for @SunderlandAFC today. In previous loans he has netted for Blackpool + Hearts. He has scored at every level he has played. Given our lack of striking options ,might it have been worth keeping him at Everton this season? #EFC #NSNO
