Mick Clifford is wrong. It’s not “a transition that promises no disruption or pain for voters”. It’s a transition that promises (at least) not to drive people INTO POVERTY or FURTHER INTO POVERTY. It’s ‘Just Transition’ not Just ‘Stop Being Poor’ Transition.

This week I contacted the 12 main electricity suppliers here to ask if they are paying microgenerators for the renewable energy they are sending to the grid. Only 2 confirmed they were. Most said they have not even decided what unit rate they will pay yet. (1/6)

Paschal Donohoe told @thisweekrte that taxi drivers WOULDN’T be included - “only workers who had lost their JOBS”. That’s completely outrageous. Many taxi drivers will lose all (or practically all) of their WORK due to new hospitality restrictions. Govt. MUST include them.

Leo Varadkar was the Minister for Transport who shelved the Navan Rail project in 2011 (blaming the FF-induced economic crash). Truth is, we’ve lost a decade & more on this project thanks to the combined efforts of FF & FG.…….and still have no funding or start date.

🤯You couldn’t make it up! The 3 men leading govt spent 2 months talking, only to produce a package that completely ignores extortionate housing costs. Nothing for ripped-off renters. Nothing for hard pressed mortgage holders. We need a govt with ambition to fix housing.
