gentle reminder that the last third of the night is so immensely sacred, so if ever you find yourself awake during it please know that it was meant for you to make the most of.
read a quote that said “every person in your life will have a final day with you” and i guess it’s just a reminder to appreciate every day as it comes.
to be kind to yourself as a muslim means finding the mercy of Allah wherever you go. it means waking for tahajjud even if just to reach for the only one who always reaches back. it means hearing the pouring of rain and pausing to do dua just so you can capture its blessings.
know that every dua can be answered as many times as Allah ﷻ believes it should be and in as many ways as he wills it. i once made dua that i be guided back to him beautifully when i stray and each time i find a new route to that closeness. to love Allah is to love the—
i didn’t realise how fundamental the morning and evening adhkar are until seeing how the quran repeatedly tells us to glorify Allah ﷻ morning and evening in over 15 ayaat
A 15 yr old sister passed away during salatul jumu’ah. these reminders are from her account on tiktok ukht.b. her family members are continuing to post any drafts they find so it would be beneficial for us and for her to check them out.
a single salah prayed with khushu should make us embarrassed of others that were rushed or half hearted or insincere. we need the rise and fall of imaan so we can distinguish what is shameful enough to change within us. it wasn’t ever meant to be something that paralyses us.
constant dhikr and praise. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Whoever says “subhanallahi wabihamdihi” one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea.
memorise and understand the 99 names of Allah. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Allah has 99 names; anyone who memorizes them will enter Jannah (Paradise). Call upon Allah with the relevant names when making dua
read the translation of the quran ” So when the Qur’an is recited then listen to it and pay attention so that you may receive mercy”. (Surah Al A’raf verse 204)
if you haven’t begun dhul hijjah in the way you’d hoped, don’t despair in the days we still have to rectify how we fell short. perhaps Allah ﷻ let you have a bad start so you’d be motivated to end this period in the most beautiful of ways in a manner most pleasing to Him.
How precious a moment is it when an ayah of the quran is brought to the front of your mind. how it could be the most seemingly ordinary thing until you’re reminded of it being a sign and it’s as if you’ve been shaken awake.
worship only becomes monotonous when we don’t seek to improve ourselves. when we fool ourselves into being content reciting the same few surahs in salah or only reading adiyat already memorised. we forget perfection isn’t something we’ve obtained and every act needs improving.
One of the names of Allah ﷻ i’m enraptured by is As-Sabur. His patience with me as i make dua for something then fail to work towards it in the best way, his patience with me while i struggle to let go of a sin or my ingratitude to his creation that could have been so easily
pray on the prayer mats that have been gifted to you that you’ve not used yet or the qurans that are still untouched. do dhikr with the beads you’ve been given and switch it up so this ramadan every person who gifted you something for worship can be rewarded إِنْ شَاءَ ٱلله
send peace and blessings upon the prophet peace be upon him. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Whoever sends blessings upon me, Allah will send blessings upon him tenfold”. (Sahih Muslim, 384).
“The parable of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever.” May we only rest when justice has been served آمين
the importance of gaining knowledge must be stressed, it is our duty as muslims to know our religion and the beauty of Allah and how can we do that if we don’t dedicate our life to what’s important
please for the sake of your dunya and akhirah, keep your sins to yourself. may Allah ﷻ allow us to give up the sins we struggle with and replace them with the best of deeds
The Prophet (ﷺ) was asked, "What deeds are loved most by Allah?" He said, "The most regular constant deeds even though they may be few." He added, “Don't take upon yourselves, except the deeds which are within your ability."
Sahih al-Bukhari 6465
journey back to him. to find the hopelessness beginning to fester inside of you and tear away at it until you’re left with the purest belief that you’ll make it out, never because of who you are but always because of the everlasting beauty of Allah. how much do we fear—
me and my friend made an every day to do list to try make the most of our time and i thought إِنْ شَاءَ ٱلله maybe it could be of benefit to someone on here too. if it gets a little overwhelming just start with one. may Allah make it easy for us all آمين
vulnerability. so many nights i’ve spent afraid to even be truthful to God. this weakness wasn’t ever meant to be hidden from him but to be worn with pride, the kind of pride that admits our need for him. we’re not strong and we’re not asked to be. struggle in your weakness—
one thing. take a single thing in your day and change it even slightly just for the pleasure of Allah. speak to someone you love and tell them you love them to follow the sunnah, learn a new blessed one of His names and include it in dua, share knowledge you know. find one thing.
i always think of what grief means for muslims. how it is not the final translation of love for us but love in the form of an eternal prayer, hope upon hope and we hold onto the rope that tethers our souls to theirs, the thought of being intercessors for each other,
it means prolonging sujood knowing you’re nearest to him here and treating yourself with care because you know we don’t belong to ourselves. it’s about seeking to understand what has been sent to us so we can be amongst the good doers.
sighing is a language of its own. you can tell a lot from the heaviness in a person’s sigh and it breaks my heart to hear it. then there are those little happy sighs when you try to explain something cute but just can’t find words good enough.
the beauty of grief as a muslim will never be lost on me. i see poetry about loving people with nowhere to put that love because they’re gone but Allah ﷻ allowing us to be a source of sadaqah jaariyah for them and to make an abundance of dua that still does something even now
ramadan is a blessed month but let us not forget Allah’s everlasting mercy and generosity that doesn’t cease for a single moment even once it departs. to realise the sincerity of love is to love even in grief. we grieve ramadan. we grieve all we got to do and all we never managed
a gentle reminder that the day of Arafah begins after maghrib today. let us spend more time after prayer for dhikr, dua and quran. may we not only increase in worship but take care to do so in a manner pleasing to Allah ﷻ. May all your ibadah and adiyat be accepted آمين
how different our day goes when it’s void of the remembrance of Allah. It’s as if you can physically feel the way barakah leaves your time and by the end of it there’s a despair you weren’t saved from only because you didn’t spend the day asking to be saved.
it means reciting the morning and evening adkhar because they mean protection and care and barakah and wanting that for yourself so much that not a day goes by that you forget.
for those of studying in ramadan, intention MATTERS. allow yourself to study for the sake of Allah ﷻ. think about what we want to get out of it whether to be of service to the ummah or so you can one day teach others or so you can provide for loved ones etc
hifdh reminder to have a reciter who you find engaging and who reads slow enough to help with your memorisation. stick to the same one so you can become familiar with their style and speed and retain the words إِنْ شَاءَ ٱلله
MY LITTLE BROTHER IS THE STRANGEST 6 YEAR OLD I’VE EVER MET. BOY ASKS ME IN SUCH A WORRIED TONE “i don’t know how to get married.” BOY NEITHER DO I DO YOU SEE ME STRESSING???
