@DriveTeslaca It’s easy. You just ignore the in car navigation completely. Also ignore the warnings that pop up saying you should go to a charger immediately. Let the car trickle down past 0 miles range and keep on driving for another 10 miles. Not problem

@greggertruck @Tesla Had a VW Jetta with a 1.8 liter Turbo. I waited 2,000 miles too long to change the timing chain and it bent all the rods. Replace the whole motor→$4000 2 years later the Turbo exploded and turbo fan shrapnel destroyed my exhaust. Another $3,500 That was less than 125,000 miles

@cybrtrkguy Crash data won’t help it just applies to the truck itself. It’s the lowest truck on the market. Has the best visibility out of the cockpit of any modern truck. Plus Teslas collision avoidance systems. Makes it safest truck for OTHER people.

So Carwow ran the numbers after about 10 miles of driving (to Walmart of all places) and came up with 294 miles of real world range. This is one short trip, but unlike some of the hot takes out there, they did this drive to test the range, and there was no drag racing involved.

Pro tip. If you are doing ANY off roading turn off the setting that auto lowers your truck to Entry Mode. I was experimenting with this and the wheel was up against the rock and started lowering onto the mud flaps. Debating setting up a separate profile just for off road

Charging test Take 2. Near ideal setup. Precondition and rolled up at 10% SOC BOOM! 147 miles in the first 15 minutes After 35% SOC it dropped to around 135 then bobbed up and down between 135 and 145 until about 55% before it dropped to 97 kW. Then it maintained 97 until 80%
