Just had my hysteroscopy procedure done and that was one of the MOST painful things I’ve had to endure. I couldn’t stop crying and wasn’t given anaesthesia either. I hate how women’s reproductive health is handled. It’s not fair :/

This!!! When I was younger I would always say “there’s something wrong with me”. The psychiatrist who diagnosed me with ADHD (also has ADHD), watched a video of my 1st assessment & said straight away it’s clear that I have ADHD and this was before any further assessment from him.

@EllieDunstone I’m really sorry that you had to go through that. I agree! I was told that it was going to be a minor procedure and that taking paracetamol would be enough to manage any pain - not the case at all. It’s incredibly shocking that this is the standard in 2021. Thank you for sharing!

Also, the individual in question seeking the diagnosis knows themselves the best, so it isn’t up to any other non-qualified person to question the validity of their self-diagnosis. Esp as qualified professionals can get it wrong (this was my experience with my first assessment)
