Just finished 8 mile AM run. Tomorrow will be my last runs at home before work. It will mark 1183 miles run this year so far and 53 pounds lost! It marks new habits, new fitness, new outlook - looking forward to the next chapter.

Now that the race was a success it's time to get back to dropping some weight! Tonight at 8 pm I start an 84 hour water/black coffee fast.

Today marked the end of my last 84 hour fast until I get back from work in a few months. There were six of them along with a 36 hour fast every three days. I'll post results next

Today was 14 hours work and an hour drive time. It was one of those evenings that was tough to motivate myself to put on the running shoes. I'm glad I did however. After the first couple miles it became very pleasant. Then cooked dinner, showered and in bed already!

Today wraps up first week of training at work. Averaged 12 hour days, but found time to run at least an hour a day and eating healthy. I fly to Boston tomorrow to join the crew.

Just worked a 12 hour shift today and got in a relaxing 1 hour run this evening. All this climbing up and down on the train and heavy lifting is going to have me in the best shape of me life at 56!

So far the eating has been very healthy, though not as tasty as what I make when home. It will take some time to adjust to shipping and cooking in one skillet while on the road but definitely doable so far.

Today was first day off. I did a long run this morning, then walked to the market and got whole lobster they steamed for me right there. It was 7.65 per live whole lobster and free to steam it. I had lobster cheaper than fast food and it was really delicious!

Happy 4th everyone. Just had great day at work, had a one hour run and ate mango and some chicken. My dad set the state record for 2 miles today for 77 year olds! Big congrats.

@SimmonsBart I would rather eat a ribeye from a cow that tested positive for "bird flu" than eat one that had been injected with mRNA.

Anyone still supporting Democrats is either corrupt, okay with being treated as if they're stupid or actually stupid. You can't continue regurgitating proven lies and be otherwise.

I work maintaining the railroad nationwide staying in hotels. In Massachusetts every hotel we stay in is filled with migrants being housed and fed with the money I work my ass off for. They broke the law to come here, do not assimilate and are parasites on working citizens.

@RobertKennedyJr They are not telling the truth. It is not cheaper to eat unhealthy food - just more convenient. If you buy dried beans, wheat berries, rice, and are selective in your meat purchases (Boston Butt, chicken thighs, etc...), use seasonings and onions, tomatoes, etc...much cheaper

How can a "news" outlet, or rational person, believe gender isn't a biological fact determined by chromosomes also celebrate a "gender reveal" of an unborn child? How can those same people call murdering that same child before birth "reproductive health"?

I skipped the AM run yesterday - ran a 4 mile shakeout last night. My legs are beginning to feel better. I slept half the day yesterday then all night. I definitely needed the rest. Listening to our bodies when we need rest can be the hardest part of training well.

This morning I woke at 3:30 so I could do a long run with my father as the sun came up then made him breakfast omelet from my garden. What a wonderful start father's day!

Finally got acclimated to work and today (day off) did a two hour run around a lake and in a state forest in the Berkshires. Afterwards walked and got fresh fruit and some ribs! Western Massachusetts is beautiful.

The morning run went very well. It was tropical level dew point and 100 percent humidity - so I did the 8 miles, but very slow and relaxed. Even so, I was drenched by the end. It's amazing how quicky your core gets heated when your sweat doesn't evaporate.

@Nutriti0n_bite @robertlufkinmd BS - the dietary guidelines for the last five decades contribute to insulin resistance. My physicians immediately went to medications to try to do things like lower cholesterol and blood pressure. Modern medicine has failed us as a society.

A neighbor just knocked on the door. She had a bag of fresh purple pole beans for me from her first picking. It's the second time in a week someone has surprised me with kindness. There are still a lot of really good people in our nation.

This is a Democrat psyop intending to sway the GOP base I to not voting. They think evangelical s are simple minded and not able to discern the blatant attempt at manipulation even though it has no logical outcome when played to completion.

I am an evangelical voter in Florida. This year, I will not be voting for any Republican candidate who does not disavow the watering down of the party platform on abortion. That includes Donald Trump. I refuse to reward betrayal with my vote.

The long run today was just a couple hours on a local rails to trails pathway. The run was pleasant as far as path went, but good God Boston ..71 dew point? Luckily tomorrow it drops back into high 50s before work

Finally had a kitchen last night in hotel and made spicy chicken and cabbage with tomatoes and onions. The run yesterday was very hot with dew points predicted to be in mid 70s all week. Running past homes built in the 1700s is it's own kind of special

Today is first full day of June's 84 hour fast. It's also long run day. It's dangerously hot today, so I'm doing a wooded trail with lots of hydration and taking it slow. Building in cool down breaks!

Today's run was a mid tempo 2 hour run. Part of it was a long the swollen Minnesota river on single track. This city really has created a great environment for runners and sports in general. Had a papaya today - forgot how much I like them!

My legs were like jelly from the beginning (3rd day fasting) so the run felt slow. It was still 18 full minutes faster than yesterday on same course, same distance - MUCH less effort. Huge difference dew point makes!

My apologies for being so quiet. I've been working 12-15 hours a day and then running and making dinner and the next days lunch each day from hotel rooms! I splurged yesterday and picked up a garmin watch for training. this will let me do intervals away from the track!

Ilhan Omar presents a drastically different image in MN than on national stage. I recently stayed in a heavily Somali populated portion of MN and had a very pleasant experience. It's not all like the MSM portrays.

Last night, my PM run was a warmup then 30 minute tempo run. Being the third day of a water fast and miles 43-46 since I'd eaten, it was tough but super rewarding to complete.
