This weekend, the @xAI team brought our Colossus 100k H100 training cluster online. From start to finish, it was done in 122 days. Colossus is the most powerful AI training system in the world. Moreover, it will double in size to 200k (50k H200s) in a few months. Excellent

@Helloimmorgan Coming from TX most of your driving will be in TX... ;) Cities are cities - find the Pueblos, Hot springs, Valles Caldera, Santa Fe, not a lot of time to see the whole state, but safe bet driving up from Las cruces (White sands, Carlsbad caverns), then head north.

Attending Intel #oneAPIDevSummit to learn about current advances in software support for new GPU architectures. Interesting sessions and discussions about how OneAPI is used to improve performance of long running massive simulations, f.ex preparing for the Aurora Supercomputer.

@tdih_hpc @hpcprogrammer @HPC_Guru For reference, in Nov 2008 - Roadrunner at LANL, was #1 . The first PetaFLOP machine - at 2.5MW. In June 2023, the Green 500 indicates only need about 25kW to get to a 1PF.
