Regarding application for professional Japanese animation, Most studios use clip studio ex and photoshop. Do not just send data via JPEG and MP4, you also need PSD and CSP!

If you keep on drawing styles different from the settei, there is a high chance that a studio will not hire you again! The person fixing your drawings is the animation director! They fix over 150 cuts to the entire episode every time because of this mistake!

Please remember that you are not drawing your own animation. You are drawing a studio animation! As mentioned before if you want to express your own art style please do illustration or fan animation instead!

LO(Layout): is the cells that make up the cut in one picture. In short, the screen composition based on the storyboard. The character placement and background are drawn.

@anemicblu The Second stage is called Nigen! Nigen is drawn after the LO/genga has gone through various checks by the episode director, director and animation director. Once all checks have been completed, the animation director drawing will return to you for Nigen work!

@anemicblu There are mainly 2 stages!. Lo/genga stage: First you submit a rough to the production manager for confirmation. Then when your drawing is okay you will start to draw the LO. The LO is the picture+various camera instructions and backgrounds.

@anemicblu For foreign workers, it is usually 2 people on 1 cut because of schedule constraints for some people for production. In Japan, a genga artist would be reserved for 2-3 months for 1 order!
