When I used to commute on the subway, I always carried extra hand warmers, some mini bottles of water and a bag of chips or granola bar in my bag. It’s not that hard to think about other people, and what you might be able to do to help them.

Reposted to protect their ID. At the Nassau county precinct with a few folks doing jail support for someone from was arrested. Not allowed to see them bc we’re not family. Their family has been called. Supposedly they will receive a desk ticket appearance.

Schools had to evacuate and now people are just STUCK… Why tf didn’t they just tell people to stay home? NY is so incredibly negligent. Money for cops and higher subway fares but nothing to keep infrastructure from crumbling.
