♡ So… what even is a honeymoon phase? An ed honeymoon phase is the phase in your ed when everything seems perfect. Losing weight is easy, exercising is fun, and you feel proud of yourself for doing well!
Also having a specific mindset about eating helps a TON. For example: if you repeat things like “I’m literally never hungry” and “I hate junk food” to yourself over and over again, I will come true!
♡ Other tips!:
•after starting a new diet or intake level, you will feel intense hunger for the first few days. After three days however, your body will get used to the change, and your stomach will begin shrinking+feel less hungry 🤗.
♡ Mindset!:
So in order to enter your honeymoon phase, you need to completely shift your mindset. This is the most important part!!! First of all, you need a good self image. Poor self image leads to depression, which can obviously lead to binging.
♡ Exercise!:
One of the best quotes I’ve ever read was “If you don’t like exercise, then you’re not doing the right exercise.” Exercise should be fun, and not something you dread. So, think about what kind of exercise might fit your lifestyle. Do you like music? Try dancing!
♡ Diet!:
Think back to your honeymoon phase for a moment, and try to remember what you ate. Did you eat junk food? Healthy food? High res? Low res? Then, structure your diet to fit that.
•Distract yourself! Having fun distractions in between eating can help a lot. My favorite distractions are school, cleaning, playing Halo/sims, and watching MLP.
•Write down your ed rules, and get inspiration from others’!
Alternatively, you could try mid res for a while (800-500cals-ish) and slowly decrease your intake by 100 calories every two weeks. I would also definitely recommend eating fiber and protein rich foods, as they’ll help keep you full for longer.
Do you like going to the pool? Try swimming! Do you like ice skating? Try figure skating! You don’t have to do intense HIIT and cardio workouts to burn calories, do something you really see yourself doing almost everyday!
•Hydrate! Even just a liter of water a day can help immensely with weight loss. I know people are scared of water weight, but water weight only effects you if you haven’t had ENOUGH water, since your body holds onto whatever water it has. So, drink your water!
1/2
Heyyyy guys. I’m sorry I haven’t been active lately. A lot has been going on in my personal life. Recently I had a revelation of sorts, and realized a lot about myself. Without beating around the bush, I’m choosing to recover. I’m not deathly thin or sick, but I’m done
♡ Overall!:
In the end, it seems easier said than done, but I promise you can get there. Reentering your honeymoon phase just takes patience and discipline. Good luck, and have fun! 😁🫶
•Don’t be so hard on yourself! I know it can be difficult, but working through self image issues and depression can make self discipline and control so much easier.
•Track your binges with I am sober to help better visualize your habits/progress.
