I just concluded a visit to Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville. I’m pleased with the condition of the stadium thus far. The venue’s issue with flood lights are currently being fixed. The stadium is open to partnerships with football clubs.

This morning, I attended the funeral of 5-year-old Ditebogo Phalane who was killed during a hijacking in Soshanguve. The City of Tshwane mourns with Ditebogo’s family, friends and the entire community that has been left devastated by the ripple effects of crime.

In between the regional service delivery tour, I paid an unannounced visit to Stinkwater Library in Hammanskraal, previously reported to open until 1pm. Challenges are now resolved, and the library is operating optimally.

I just concluded a visit to the Mabopane Integrated Social Development Centre. This centre is a state of the art multi-purpose facility that includes a ECD centre for children. The centre has offices for social workers and other services offered by the City.

Update on the Rooiwal Infrastructure Upgrade:

’s effort to improve the effluent coming out of this plant is progressing according to plan. We are on track to deliver clean portable water for the residents of Hammanskraal by September 2024.
We are now in Mabopane Region1 to support the work of our service delivery teams. This includes grass cutting, tree felling, road markings.

During our visit at Sokhulumi on Monday, one of my colleagues saw the condition of one of the girls' shoes. We had to go back and deliver the shoes so babygirl doesn't stay home in this cold. It takes a village 🙏
This morning, I visited the City of Tshwane’s Food Bank at the Fresh Produce Market. The City allocates R5 million a year to fund the Food Bank. Its function is to smoothly distribute food parcels to NGOs that feed vulnerable members of our community.
Today I inspected the Mabopane Reservoirs in Unit M and the Soshanguve Water Pump Station Ext 8. The primary objective of my visit to the Mabopane Reservoirs was to address the ongoing water supply challenges faced by the local communities.
I was happy to be assured by community leaders in the area that they will take steps to keep the sites clean from now on. I encourage all our residents to take action to keep our areas clean, take action against illegal dumping.

ActionSA leaders from across the country will gather in Hammanskraal as President Herman Mashaba outlines ActionSA’s vision and plans for a prosperous future for all South Africans.

We are starting off the day here at Ya Bana village for the children. This child and youth care centre has been home to many children over the past 17 years. This year they have 54 children under their care.
We are in region one today on an EPWP Outreach programme. The aim of todays programme is to encourage applicants of our EPWP programme to update their contact information on the city’s database.

This morning I met with community members of Soshanguve North to discuss the electricity challenges affecting approximately 50 000 households, we agreed on the plan of action on how to stabilise electricity supply in the area.
I started my morning at the Pretoria Arts Museum on Tuesday. The facility is a shining star for our City’s arts & culture. The museum is currently completing the installation of air conditioning systems to help make visits comfortable for staff and visitors.

This week, I focused on the issue of homelessness. Our efforts started at no. 2 Struben Street on Monday, and today I had the privilege of meeting with the leaders of the Homeless Sector in the City of Tshwane.
I met Councillors from Mabopane and Winterveldt in order to better understand daily service delivery challenges experienced within their wards. Collapsed sewer system and maintenance which is affecting people in Block A Mabopane were some of the issues raised.
