Reading this as the rape analogy I’m like at least 80% sure it is makes this so much more powerful (and that’s already considering it’s likely the darkest and most haunting chapter). I mean, look at the imagery here, it’s not hard to see what’s being told between the lines.
@MatttGFX
If he’s got Whitesnake it’s theoretically possible he could just barf dvds for half a minute before he actually starts fighting to get rid of all the actively harmful ones
Whether or not she actually did so or not, it’s highly possible she did as a further tool of complete psychological dominance, the framing remains that what she did to him, stripping him down to his most vulnerable and forcing her worldview on him, is at least analogous to rape.
@misteryurifag
It and the ones following it of her leaning down to child Denji with this genuine glee on her face at getting to break his mind are just so so so horrifying.
Makima makes Denji strip for her, reduces him to a childlike and extremely vulnerable state, exploits his trauma relating to abuse while justifying it as Denji’s own fault, breaks him psychologically, then it cuts to the morning where he can’t move and she’s eating peacefully.
Like, the progression and imagery here is too strong to ignore. I’m not saying with certainty that this happened but the sequence of events works well enough as a metaphor even if the act itself isn’t involved. Calling Makima a rapist after this scene, wouldn’t be incorrect.
@JackdawJackal
To be fair these pickup lines and then immediately fumbling over your own pieces and fucking up your turn is very funny which as we all know is an infinite rizz hack
@nescartridges
While I don’t agree, the context most people are missing is that he used to do the hat turn during really hype moments for many years, then they just stopped doing it. Then they finally had him do it again right before an insanely good sakuga moment in the biggest battle ever.

@LillianaBright3
it's not random internet users trying to be comedic when the preface their phrase with "a prediction"
at that point apollo's just helping out
@SMTDrifter
At least here the implication is that they all just splash him so much he falls over. He also did literally the baseline to deserve a reaction. The Ryuji scene is!! Not that!!!
@alissacaliente
>be me, 6
>enter training mode
>pit vs. female robin

@Mootmonthly
The SV models for Pokémon are almost entirely improvements across the board. However, I actually prefer the way human characters looked in SM and SWSH a lot more than how they look in SV which is a lot more realistic. The cartoony look really helps the low-detail NPCs imo.
@SantanaelChan
To be clear, the Gun Devil in itself is a reference to 9/11, with its initial appearance taking place after a terrorist attack in America, and its appearance in the story happening in a chapter titled “9, 12” taking place on September 12th
@SO0u0o
@MysteriousVenu2
No I think it’s referring to the station the CW, which was airing the show this is in reference to. The prevailing theory among the fans was that the character on the right wasn’t allowed to confess to the character on the left because of the channel restricting them.
@Secret_Doves
It’s like a parent realizing their kid was hiding something from them. That innocence is gone. His kid has grown up past him already. She’s once again conspiring with forces above him to use him like a tool. Just like Makima. What part of this wouldn’t terrify him to his core?
@SonicBasedSizi
fun fact, the system in place for the game awards picks it’s nominees through a committee of game publications, then selects the winners based 90% on the publications votes and 10% on the audience votes. Your votes literally do not matter in the slightest
@Movieblocktimus
@kishikybe
I don't think he's wearing the outfit here, I think it's a regular blue shirt that's ripped in ways to make it look like the spider man suit. To show that he's a regular guy that COULD have been spider-man.
@Lewchube
The insert artworks for trainer battles were so fucking good. I have no idea why they couldn’t have stuck around, even if just for those little VS bars that show up before you fight gym leaders in the Gen 4 and 5 games. Just give that to every trainer.
@Brisskitty
I think it’s equally funny that he could have just seen Zack and Sephiroth and thought “that’s a little fruity” so his Nibilheim flashback is his Zack x Sephiroth BL fantasy
@engiarc
@Dorestratus
he was so nice but people kept giving him giant reactions to funny keywords so he kept using them, i swear the replies have him under a spell
@misteryurifag
My absolute favorite moment from her ever, I think. The feeling of her dropping all her acting because she knows she’s won and you know she’s won his never fails to drop my stomach to my knees.
@skullketsu
@mug_mugii
Like genuinely it breaks canon to have her hate her own costume because it was her mind that created it, BASED on something she sees as proud rebellion. They had her dislike it for a joke but it goes to show how the outfit is counterintuitive to the writing of the character.
@johnnyjoesmart
there should be this feature where anyone over the age of 40 who touches the bag gets visions of the most brutal deaths in jojo sent directly into their mind
@SpectralAurora_
Giratinas Pokédex entry implies Arceus created it accidentally, or that it wasn’t made on purpose. Basically that Giratina formed from Arceus rather than being created by it
I think every video game is objectively better with some unexplained hidden scary shit. Like the noises after you beat a boss in Splatoon or the Hell Valley Sky Trees in Mario Galaxy 2.
i love versus and pucci because pucci will just be on some jojo shit like: "i sense that weather report is "approaching". it seems his "gravity" has drawn him to this "hole" you've created..." and versus will be like can you shut the fuck up dude
@SerebiiNet
I HATE THIS DISTRIBUTION METHOD
I’VE BEEN SIGNED UP FOR THE NEWSLETTER FOR YEARS
I have never gotten a single e-mail from them, even though I’ve signed up multiple times, and I wasn’t able to get through their support lines because they kept closing my claims???
@pisschamp
After careful analysis I finally understand it. Stonetoss is “””trying””” to convey that the gay person is a hypocrite, by asking for a gay wedding cake but being offended when they’re offered Christian chicken.
@misteryurifag
Literally this is backed up for Denji because the first thing Aki does is beat the shit out of him in a back alley and the first thing Kishibe does is kill him. Nonstop. For an entire day at the least. This continues to be reinforced for Denji within the story as well.
@anotherporsona
Short explanation:
Soul Forgo (big guy) is a psychic projection of an alien warlord created within his own dreamscape. The game fakes you out with a boss title card before having Morpho Knight (butterfly) a sort of mysterious grim reaper from the last game show up and one tap it.
@Secret_Doves
This is exactly the kind of thing he was SUPPOSED to keep her away from. Finding out he failed, is losing his only family again to horrifying circumstances he can’t even begin to understand, and is once again nothing more than a tool, this is Denji’s worst nightmare.
@TheGorgePodcast
LMA is all about fiction vs. reality… would be absolutely fantastic for sora to go to a Disney world and everyone starts freaking out like “holy shit sora from kingdom hearts for the PlayStation 2”
@pisschamp
So the gay person is forcing the LGBTQ agenda on this innocent clerk, but gets offended when they’re offered chicken from a Christian company. I just do not understand this man. What are your goals stonetoss
@daimon_shaw
@ZhugeEX
I think the game is actually a critique of those things, not for them. Note the cheeky little "It's only illegal if you get caught!"
@JohneAwesome
Social Links for party members inherently lead to bad writing. None of the development in the social links can be used in the main story so it will inevitably be meaningless. And if they make the SL story so inconsequential that it doesn’t affect the main story, what’s the point?
@DEATHMETALJOCK
My dnd character is a devout man of faith and has dedicated his life to the study of his religion, but is such a himbo that he never actually figured out what god he was worshipping and had to be told at age 25 he was a demon worshipper praising bahamut
@SOUPSHOGI
Gus has the JJBA Phantom Blood movie on demand which has literally been lost media for like 15 years, he’s getting the remote and whatever else he wants
@Damn_Cheaters
It’s a great question because it’s inherently harmless. Having a bad taste in movies is not the same as being violent, though Makima treats them both as imperfections that should be ironed out. It lets slip that she’s not out just to “protect” or “save” humanity.
@CSM_analysis

@jeannesfangs
this is like. good. This is good. This is the kind of “asa and yoru have something more to them” theory that I always knew existed but haven’t really seen done well. Like that they’re sisters(?) or a split personality. This one is really good though.
