While the Derry/Londonderry "dispute" is a small and silly one, it's mad the way you're brought up to think that it's a 50/50 split in the city itself. A massive majority of the people there seem to call it Derry, and most "outrage" over it seems to come from far outside it.

The Irish Language is not a contentious issue in that there is absolutely zero reason whatsoever to be opposed to its presence other than naked bigotry. Bigots does not need accommodated. There isn't a square foot of the north where Irish was not once spoken.
