Here we are testing the performance of Final Fantasy XVI on PC with the RTX 4070 Ti Super. As mentioned in a previous post, the full game runs much better for me than the demo. #FINALFANTASYXVI

Many people really have no idea about CPU performance anymore. Apparently pairing a 14600KF with a 3080 is terrible. The same 14600KF that's on average 8% slower than a 14700K when fully CPU bound.

We have had Ryzen 7000 CPUs burning, RTX 4090 connectors burning, Intel CPUs crashing, all in a very short time, all from the 3 major players in the PC space. These are all bad issues to have, so let's not gaslight ourselves into thinking "my brand" is flawless.

This era of clickbait is ridiculous. Videocardz put out an article titled "Ryzen 9000 may be affected by Windows bug." I told them it's misleading as 7000 is also affected. They doubled down, even trippled down, then corrected the title, then blocked me. All for the clicks 🤦‍♂️

@HardwareUnboxed Not gonna lie, I was one of those laughing when you said 3070 VRAM will be an issue before long. I figured Nvidia know better than you. Back then it was only Doom on Ultra Nightmare. Today there is a handful if games where this is an issue. Tomorrow, who knows?

PC gaming is all about catering to your specific wants. I see the same arguments again about how nobody needs more than 60 fps. The great thing about PC is that whether you want 60 fps at 1080p or 120 fps at 4K, there's a system for that. Want 200 fps at 1440p? Also doable.

@Sebasti66855537 Also, Spider-Man has a world full of NPCs, full open-world and random encounter quests, which will be much more intensive than a more linear game. I guess you can argue that foliage is a lot more demanding than static buildings, but the difference in performance is staggering

@Dachsjaeger Same happened with TLOU. After a few patches it was even playable at 1440p Ultra on 8GB VRAM, whereas previously it would falter at 1080p. 8GB VRAM is definitely on its last legs, but you cant use unoptimized games to make a point. Forspoken and TLOU being prime examples.

Seen quite a few posts again recently of people pulling their nose up at the Intel i5 14600K(F) CPU because it's "only" an i5. In HUB's latest video the 14600K is 8.6% slower than an i9 14900K. It is faster than an i9 12900K and Ryzen 7 7700X in gaming. i5 doesnt mean slow.

AMD seeing some real nice gains with the new version of Windows. The 7700X and 9700X see an uplift of 10% and 11% respectively. Still, Zen5 vs Zen4 results stay more or less the same, but the uplift across the board is actually pretty impressive.

I see a lot of people saying "You dont NEED X amount of FPS" in this game or that game. While true, you also dont need to play games, or have a PC, or console. Gaming is all about wants, not needs, and that is why high refresh rate panels and 4090 GPUs exist, and sell.

With so many reports of Intel 13/14th gen CPUs having issues it amazes me that there are still people denying it. Just because you dont have an issue doesnt mean others dont. But also blaming every single game crash on "faulty" Intel CPUs helps no one. Sometimes games just crash.

The 3060 beating the 4060 at 1080p in Ghost of Tsushima is a friendly reminder that 8GB VRAM is becoming more of an issue. The other issue is that the 4060 is becoming very popular, but I think the only reason is because the most played games on Steam are e-sports titles.

The reason why the 1080 Ti is such an awesome GPU is because if you wanted an Nvidia GPU that's both faster and has more VRAM you had to buy a 3090 when 30-series launched. Only later did the 3080 12GB GPUs launched. To this day I cant understand why the 3080 launched with 10GB.

While power efficiency in PC components is a good thing, many people overstate just how much the difference is in cost. If CPU A draws 60 watt and CPU B 120 watt, the difference is an average 60 watt incandescent lightbulb. You see the same cost savings by turning one lamp off.

It's a lot less complicated to build a PC today than it was 30 years ago. You dont have to worry about setting jumpers on a HDD, or dipswitches on the motherboard specific to your CPU. As long as you mount your CPU and cooler properly you will be fine, even if you make mistakes.

This month has been one of the best months for me on Youtube. In fact, it's my 2nd biggest month ever. I hit 1000 subs 9 months ago, and about to hit 3000. If you enjoy some average tech stuff consider subscribing!

Cyberpunk 2077 FINALLY received FSR 3 Frame Generation via an update earlier today. Unfortunately it is not FSR 3.1, so FSR Frame Generation is coupled to FSR Upscaling still. Here I test it in Cyberpunk 2077 against DLSS 3 Frame Generation.

Testing uploading a YT shorts video on Twitter. Why are gamers mad at AMD? I did a quick comparison of FSR vs DLSS and it is as clear as day why people are upset at the possible exclusion of DLSS in AMD sponsored titles. YT: #amd #nvidia #fsr #dlss

Something I hear often is that you need an RTX 4090 to use Ray Tracing. So starting today there will be a new series on my channel called "Fact or Fiction", and in that series we'll address comments and statements like that. Here is the first video:

@Dachsjaeger @iamRayy_ I mean, it is "ghost" of Tsushima, so it's probably a feature!

@Hypertension_u Literally the first person on my timeline to say this. Exactly, when they said that, they werent talking about PC, they were referencing other consoles. Rare Dante W

Just a reminder that if GPU A is 50% slower than GPU B, it means GPU B is 100% faster, or twice as fast, as GPU A. Might seem like a pointless post, but some reviewers mix % faster and % slower, and it can create confusion.

The 4090 being up to 120% faster than the 3090 is just insane to me. Daniel has a very good video on it, and it ranges from 55% to 120% faster here.

Benchmarking the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super here at 4K in 8 games to see just how well it does. Also testing ray tracing, path tracing, native, DLSS, as well as frame generation.

Spent a whole lot of time on this one, but here I test the performance differences between Windows 10 and Windows 11 using an Intel CPU.

Many people might not be aware, but the same studio that did Robocop: Rogue City also did a Terminator game. It wasnt mindblowing or anything, but I find it enjoyable. So if you like what they did with Robocop and are a fan of the original Terminator movies, give this one a go.

Adding to this, I see so many people advocating for AMD but when asked what GPU they use it's Nvidia. I know a lot of people who own and love their AMD GPUs, but many people will bash Nvidia and praise AMD, yet run Nvidia themselves. There is no issue preferring a certain brand,

Daniel Owen admitting that being negative towards Nvidia and positive towards AMD gives more traffic was not something I expected to see, lol

@DragonsDogma Will there be a day 1 patch addressing PC performance issues? If not I would highly recommend people to wait.
